An Address from Muslims of the Americas including a Divinely Inspired Message from El Sheikh Syed Mubarik Ali Shah Gilani, Vice Chancellor of the International Quranic Open University
At this time, most of you know – our Imaam, El Sheikh Gilani has been sent with many miraculous signs, originating from the Power of Almighty God; miracles which have been appearing for the last thirty years – one after another. However, the greatest miracle that has ever appeared is taking place at this moment, in the USA, at the holy place Islamberg, New York – where for the last four months, the Personal Name of Almighty Allah is radiantly shining – a tremendous Sign from the Almighty Creator, a sober warning and a portentous reminder. And by the Immense Grace of Allah, this message is one in which you will believe, for when open hearts are presented with the universal Truth from our Almighty Creator, it permeates those hearts eager to know and recognize His Truth because of their certainty of Faith and strong Belief in Him, and their inclination to do what is right; it is His Love and Grace that enables our intellect to confirm the Truth by way of reason, also a gift from Him, our Almighty Benefactor.
We live in a very auspicious era, in which The Almighty is clearly distinguishing Truth from falsehood; and the main purpose of these manifest signs from the Almighty is to remove misunderstandings between Muslims and Christians, draw together all those who believe in the One Almighty Creator, and desire to know, love, and serve Him by way of these glad tidings from Him, the Most Appreciative of service. These miracles are an announcement to the faithful to prepare for the coming of the Holy Messenger Jesus, the son of Chaste Saint Mary, peace be upon them, who will descend from the heavens in Jerusalem. But before his return, the promised Mahdi will make his appearance to begin his mission; he has already been seen by some of the followers of El Sheikh Gilani, and I am one of those witnesses who have seen him.
Abundant praise be to our Almighty Creator Who has joined Muslims and Christians together in true faith; believing in One Almighty God, believing in His Holy Messenger Jesus, who was born of the Chaste Saint Mary, the story of which is told in the Testament, and is recounted in detail in the Holy Qur’an.
Let us rejoice in this unified belief of the Oneness of the Almighty Creator, that He Alone is worthy of worship. The statement from Mark 12:29 affirms “The most important one [commands of the Almighty],” answered Jesus, “is this: ‘Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one.” And this quote from Holy Qur’an states the same: “Your Illah (God) is One Illah (God-Allah, none has the right to be worshipped but He). Surah16, Nahl (The Bee): 22
The Message and Messengers are one, from the One Almighty Creator of all; yet we must come to a deeper understanding using the gift of reason, this faculty The Almighty has given to us; and if reason and our sense of logic were our only means of perception, then – still, we could not help but realize the existence of Almighty God, Allah, as the Sovereign, through the observation of His Perfect creation. Faith is like the solid foundation, unquestionable; but faith alone is insufficient to resolve what differences of understanding exist between us as the family of Almighty God. It is here that the power of reason brings the truth to light.
Serious thinkers from the time of the Holy Messenger Jesus, son of Chaste Saint Mary (peace be upon them), and since that time, were able to arrive at the conclusion that an Almighty Being must exist, and that the created world is actually a mirror of His Attributes.
In the Bible, Romans, 19:20, declares “…since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. For since the creation of the world, God’s Invisible Qualities—His eternal power and Divine Nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse.”
In the Psalms of the Holy Messenger David, 19:1 is written, “The heavens declare the glory of God. The expanse shows His handiwork. Day after day they pour forth speech, and night after night they display knowledge.”
The Sura Ra’d, the 13th Chapter of the Holy Qur’an, states – “He it is Who sends down water (rain) from the sky; from it you drink and from it (grows) the vegetation on which you send your cattle to pasture. With it He causes to grow for you the crops, the olives, the date-palms, the grapes, and every kind of fruit. Verily! In this is indeed, an evident proof and a manifest sign for people who give thought. And He subjected to you the night and the day, the sun and the moon and the stars are subjected to His Command. Surely, in this are proofs for people who understand.”
The thread of commonality in the word of our two scriptures brings us to a point of convergence and that is logical and reasonable understanding. All those who are guided by logical thinking can agree; for those who do not possess this faculty, there can be no understanding. Here in our country, we know that it must be governed by laws and constitution, and a chief to administer affairs, as is the case for any nation. It would be illogical to assert that without due law and constitution, and a governmental head that any country could effectively exist. Similarly, to reflect upon the order and perfection of the universe and all that it contains, how each part functions in conjunction with the others, the timing of the sunrise and setting, the emergence and cycle of the seasons and the cycles of the vegetation in nature, in animals and in ourselves, brings one to the conclusion that there must be a Supreme Organizer, Controller, a Source and Creator of the schemes we witness and of which we are, ourselves, the most complex and highest part.
Our second-to-last Holy Messenger Jesus, peace be upon him, brought much understanding by the explaining of these deeper realities; yet, when attempting to understand his true nature, some groups among his own people could not even agree. One group refused to believe in him as a holy messenger of the Almighty, rebelled against him, and conspired to have him crucified; one group believed that he is Almighty God Himself, yet He permitted that people would crucify Him in order that their sins be forgiven by Him – that same God – a very confusing proposition; yet another group was unsure about what others claimed about the Holy Messenger Jesus, son of Chaste Saint Mary – and these must be helped to discover the truth; and of course – his closest companions who emulated his noble and pious conduct in letter and spirit, enjoined what he enjoined upon them, and refrained from what he forbid.
In reality – satan has been the mortal enemy of mankind since the Divine creation of Adam, the first person to exist. It was the mischief of satan that led Adam and his wife Eve to eat of the Forbidden Tree in Paradise. From that incident Almighty Allah, acknowledged the error of Adam and Eve and accepted their sincere plea for forgiveness. Satan was condemned for his disobedience to the Command of Almighty to prostrate before Adam – a superior creation. Satan’s haughtiness and pride caused him to mislead Adam and Eve; he was condemned, but given respite by Almighty Allah to attempt to mislead the ‘children of Adam’, we who populate the earth. However, Allah declared that over His sincere, faithful servants, satan would be but an annoyance. To mankind, The Almighty Creator, by many means, gave protection from satan, the avowed enemy of mankind.
To think that the Almighty Creator allowed Himself to be humiliated and crucified is problematic to the reasoning; and if the Holy Messenger Jesus, peace be upon him, were Almighty God incarnate – the same problematic idea would assault the faculty of logic. The ultimate conclusion one must reach then, would be that if, in fact ,Jesus were God, and Jesus was crucified – that would imply that Almighty God , Who created all, living and non-living, was dead – a proposition that our reason and logic is not programmed by the Almighty to accept.
The Holy Messenger Jesus, peace be upon him, is acknowledged, loved and revered by Muslims and recognized as a perfect Sufi; he healed the sick and blind, and by Allah’s Leave, he gave life to the dead. Only remnants of his original Gospel, which means ‘glad tidings’, remain today after centuries – in lieu of that, there remains only one part of it which was written by Barnabus, a disciple of Jesus who was appointed as scribe, and what he compiled during his time with his Master became the Gospel of Barnabus.
The Holy Messenger Jesus accomplished much of his mission – he restored the Law of his predecessor, Moses (peace be upon him) brought much guidance and glad tidings to his people, as well as warnings to those who rebelled against Almighty God. The major purpose was also to prepare the way for the final Holy Messenger of The Almighty – Muhammad, peace be upon him, whom he mentioned to his disciples by a word in the Greek language which translates as ‘Ahmad’. He will return to this world, as commanded by Allah Almighty, to complete his work – and that hour is fast approaching.
Muslim scholars have deliberated on this idea – of the belief of Christians regarding the nature of the Holy Messenger Jesus, son of Chaste Saint Mary, peace be upon them. They understood that the term ‘son of God’ was in ancient times commonly used. One very famous Sufi of that time, Hazrat Ibn Al-Arabi, in his treatise Fusus ul Hikam, concluded that in the belief in ‘Trinity’, that Christians do not worship three (as separate entities unto themselves), but they worship three ‘attributes’ or manifestations of The One Almighty Creator – a pure doctrine that, in time, became corrupted.
The world will be surprised to know that other than mention of Jesus son of Chaste Saint Mary a great deal, the Holy Quran narrates the complete story and episode about three apostles who were sent to Antioch by Jesus son of Chaste Saint Mary. They were Barnabas, Shimaun (Simon) and Sudduk. One thing is confirmed, the three apostles who went to Antioch were sent by Jesus son of Chaste Saint Mary and Muslims believe in them. As far as is known there’s no other existing account about their visit and what happened afterwards.
Allow me to shed some light on that aspect of the life and mission of Jesus son of Mary. Antioch-Antakia, Turkey was ruled by a pagan tyrant who did not believe in Almighty God. Here, I would also mention that nevertheless, there were people who had become followers of Jesus, son of Chaste Saint Mary, but they were hiding their beliefs. One was a carpenter whose name was Habeeb. Here I quote how The Almighty revealed this incident to mankind in following words in Chapter 36-Ya Sin of Holy Quran, which concerns more the followers of Jesus and this is the narration:
(13) And set out to them an example of the people of the town, when the messengers came to it.
14) When We sent to them two, they rejected both of them, then We strengthened (them) with a third, so they said: Surely we are messengers to you.
15) They said: You are naught but mortals like ourselves, nor has the Beneficent Allah revealed anything; you only lie.
(16) They said: Our Lord knows that we are most surely messengers to you.
(17) And nothing devolves on us but a clear deliverance (of the message).
(18) They said: Surely we augur evil from you; if you do not desist, we will certainly stone you, and there shall certainly afflict you a painful chastisement from us.
(19) They said: Your evil fortune is with you; what! if you are reminded! Nay, you are an extravagant people.
(20) And from the remote part of the city there came a man running, he said: O my people! follow the messengers;
(21) Follow him who does not ask you for reward, and they are the followers of the right course;
(22) And what reason have I that I should not serve Him Who brought me into existence? And to Him you shall be brought back;
(23) What! shall I take besides Him gods whose intercession, If the Beneficent Allah should desire to afflict me with a harm, shall not avail me aught, nor shall they be able to deliver me?
(24) In that case I shall most surely be in clear error:
(25) Surely I believe in your Lord, therefore hear me.
(26) It was said: Enter the garden. He said: O would that my people had known
(27) Of that on account of which my Lord has forgiven me and made me of the honored ones!
(28) And We did not send down upon his people after him any hosts from heaven, nor do We ever send down.
(29) It was naught but a single cry, and lo! they were still.
Indeed Allah’s wrath fell upon the people of Antioch and Habeeb the carpenter immediately was raised into paradise, a unique honor which has been bestowed very rarely to people. See how Allah honors the person who follows the teachings of Jesus. Not only that, but for the murder of one innocent person Almighty destroyed the entire city. He was granted entry to paradise in the split of a second, from where he said, ‘would that my people knew” whereas the entire world has to wait till the Day of Judgement and opening of doors of paradise to enter.
This episode/incident has a great deal to teach mankind and particularly those who claim to love Jesus son of Chaste Saint Mary. That is very clear. If they uphold the unity of One Almighty God and the 10 commandments and they are martyred in turn, Almighty will take revenge. Alas! The followers of Jesus so rarely do this anymore either by word of mouth or by practically following it themselves.
At this juncture I’d like to inform the general public about Barnabas: (I quote from a person in search of truth and could not find any answer in believing in cross and divinity of man until he eventually turned to Islam, who wrote:)
“Change of heart comes from Almighty God. In fact without his guidance all our searching and efforts to find the truth may lead us astray. We needing guiding, vision and conviction which no argument, however cogent, nor any elequence however impassioned, nor learning however deep, will ever make man satisfied unless he has the proof within his own soul. The only way to have it, is to receive it as a free gift from God Almighty, most gracious, most merciful.”
Much has been said and written by the Christian Pontiffs about Jesus son of Chaste Saint Mary, His sayings and teachings are supposedly contained in the four gospels canonized centuries after the ascension of Jesus, son of Chaste Saint Mary, by order of the Roman emperor Constantine. This happened in the year 325 CE. In compliance with the imperial command all of the bishops assembled at Nicaea to debate, discuss and decide theological matters and also select by common agreement those books from a vast collection of manuscripts, which in their judgement constituted the word of God.
Now these Bishops who were commanded by an emperor to exercise judgement in determining the books that contained the word of God were all torn between worldly powers, personal ambitions and ignorance. Sabinus, the learned bishop of Heraclea recorded that: excepting Constantine himself and Eusebius Pamphilus, they were a set of illiterate, simple creatures that understood nothing.” Idiots as they were, Pappus recounts that having “promiscuously put all the books that were referred to the Council for determination under a communion-table in a church, they (the bishops) besought the Lord that the inspired writings might get upon the table, while the spurious ones remained underneath, and it happened accordingly.” (Sherman,H., You Live After Death ch. 8)
We know that out of those, only four: Matthew, Mark, Luke and John were accepted. Others were rejected. The emperor then declared that the above decision be considered as by divine will and the above four should be considered implicitly as the word of God. All Bishops bowed before the power of his imperial majesty, the Emperor, a pagan king, and thus produced the official first copy of the New Testament. These facts are very well known to all.
Paganism was rampant during the time of the Holy Messenger Jesus, peace be upon him, and attempts were made to infuse pagan rites and ideas with the true teachings he brought; when the attempt to kill him failed – for as Muslims believe he ascended into heaven alive by an Almighty God Who would not permit His Holy messenger to be lynched by a mob – the next plot was to vitiate his teachings and misguide his followers. This is the last obstacle to the complete unity of the followers of the noble second-to-last Messenger of God, Jesus, son of Chaste Saint Mary. Muslims have never referred to our Christian brethren as pagans, infidels, and idol worshippers, because the Almighty Creator of us all has spoken in our Holy Qur’an that you are closest to us in faith.
Therefore, El Sheikh Gilani personally invites the sincere lovers of the Almighty Creator – the enlightened, educated, and broad-minded people, open-minded clerics and ministers to come forward and try to remove the ideological obstructions so that mankind can again become one Family of Almighty God. His blessed, illuminated ‘Signature’ is for all the world who acknowledge Him as their Almighty Creator, to lead mankind together, bringing about peace, understanding, and love for His Sake.
With this, we again extend the invitation and request of El Sheikh Gilani, that we join hands and let us come together on common ground; we must believe in One Almighty God, we must not bring partners in His worship; we must love the Holy Mesenger Jesus, son of Chaste Saint Mary and then follow the law which he followed, i.e., the Ten Commandments – because proof of sincere love is that one follows the way ordained by the Beloved – Almighty God; love God with your heart and soul. El Sheikh leaves you with this promise – he says, “ I swear by my Allah, Whose Name is shining right now in the Holiest Shrine at Islamberg – I swear by His Exaltedness – that you should RUN towards Him. He is your only Protector, Friend in time of need, Help, and Guide! He created everything between heaven and earth to serve mankind. And He created us to serve Him. That was His purpose of creating us. We should know Him – but without knowing ourselves, we cannot know Him. The heavens above you and the wonders of His creation all around us are open. Each drop of rain and each snowflake and each blade of grass and the flowers – all testify to One God and His Love and care for us. He guided the honeybee with inspiration to produce honey for us. The silkworms, too, produce silk for us – horses and donkeys do not wear silk – only we wear it. They are serving us night and day. Let us serve our Creator, and bow down before Him humbly, saying, ‘ Oh our Lord! Show us the right direction, and [we] pray for salvation.’
I assure you that in this country – where Allah Almighty has shown His Name – will become a holy country, where people come to pay homage and behold wonders and miracles taking place.”

(27) Of that on account of which my Lord has forgiven me and made me of the honored ones!
(28) And We did not send down upon his people after him any hosts from heaven, nor do We ever send down.
(29) It was naught but a single cry, and lo! they were still.
Indeed Allah’s wrath fell upon the people of Antioch and Habeeb the carpenter immediately was raised into paradise, a unique honor which has been bestowed very rarely to people. See how Allah honors the person who follows the teachings of Jesus. Not only that, but for the murder of one innocent person Almighty destroyed the entire city. He was granted entry to paradise in the split of a second, from where he said, ‘would that my people knew” whereas the entire world has to wait till the Day of Judgement and opening of doors of paradise to enter.
This episode/incident has a great deal to teach mankind and particularly those who claim to love Jesus son of Chaste Saint Mary. That is very clear. If they uphold the unity of One Almighty God and the 10 commandments and they are martyred in turn, Almighty will take revenge. Alas! The followers of Jesus so rarely do this anymore either by word of mouth or by practically following it themselves.
At this juncture I’d like to inform the general public about Barnabas: (I quote from a person in search of truth and could not find any answer in believing in cross and divinity of man until he eventually turned to Islam, who wrote:)
“Change of heart comes from Almighty God. In fact without his guidance all our searching and efforts to find the truth may lead us astray. We needing guiding, vision and conviction which no argument, however cogent, nor any elequence however impassioned, nor learning however deep, will ever make man satisfied unless he has the proof within his own soul. The only way to have it, is to receive it as a free gift from God Almighty, most gracious, most merciful.”
Much has been said and written by the Christian Pontiffs about Jesus son of Chaste Saint Mary, His sayings and teachings are supposedly contained in the four gospels canonized centuries after the ascension of Jesus, son of Chaste Saint Mary, by order of the Roman emperor Constantine. This happened in the year 325 CE. In compliance with the imperial command all of the bishops assembled at Nicaea to debate, discuss and decide theological matters and also select by common agreement those books from a vast collection of manuscripts, which in their judgement constituted the word of God.
Now these Bishops who were commanded by an emperor to exercise judgement in determining the books that contained the word of God were all torn between worldly powers, personal ambitions and ignorance. Sabinus, the learned bishop of Heraclea recorded that: excepting Constantine himself and Eusebius Pamphilus, they were a set of illiterate, simple creatures that understood nothing.” Idiots as they were, Pappus recounts that having “promiscuously put all the books that were referred to the Council for determination under a communion-table in a church, they (the bishops) besought the Lord that the inspired writings might get upon the table, while the spurious ones remained underneath, and it happened accordingly.” (Sherman,H., You Live After Death ch. 8)
We know that out of those, only four: Matthew, Mark, Luke and John were accepted. Others were rejected. The emperor then declared that the above decision be considered as by divine will and the above four should be considered implicitly as the word of God. All Bishops bowed before the power of his imperial majesty, the Emperor, a pagan king, and thus produced the official first copy of the New Testament. These facts are very well known to all.
Paganism was rampant during the time of the Holy Messenger Jesus, peace be upon him, and attempts were made to infuse pagan rites and ideas with the true teachings he brought; when the attempt to kill him failed – for as Muslims believe he ascended into heaven alive by an Almighty God Who would not permit His Holy messenger to be lynched by a mob – the next plot was to vitiate his teachings and misguide his followers. This is the last obstacle to the complete unity of the followers of the noble second-to-last Messenger of God, Jesus, son of Chaste Saint Mary. Muslims have never referred to our Christian brethren as pagans, infidels, and idol worshippers, because the Almighty Creator of us all has spoken in our Holy Qur’an that you are closest to us in faith.
Therefore, El Sheikh Gilani personally invites the sincere lovers of the Almighty Creator – the enlightened, educated, and broad-minded people, open-minded clerics and ministers to come forward and try to remove the ideological obstructions so that mankind can again become one Family of Almighty God. His blessed, illuminated ‘Signature’ is for all the world who acknowledge Him as their Almighty Creator, to lead mankind together, bringing about peace, understanding, and love for His Sake.
With this, we again extend the invitation and request of El Sheikh Gilani, that we join hands and let us come together on common ground; we must believe in One Almighty God, we must not bring partners in His worship; we must love the Holy Mesenger Jesus, son of Chaste Saint Mary and then follow the law which he followed, i.e., the Ten Commandments – because proof of sincere love is that one follows the way ordained by the Beloved – Almighty God; love God with your heart and soul. El Sheikh leaves you with this promise – he says, “ I swear by my Allah, Whose Name is shining right now in the Holiest Shrine at Islamberg – I swear by His Exaltedness – that you should RUN towards Him. He is your only Protector, Friend in time of need, Help, and Guide! He created everything between heaven and earth to serve mankind. And He created us to serve Him. That was His purpose of creating us. We should know Him – but without knowing ourselves, we cannot know Him. The heavens above you and the wonders of His creation all around us are open. Each drop of rain and each snowflake and each blade of grass and the flowers – all testify to One God and His Love and care for us. He guided the honeybee with inspiration to produce honey for us. The silkworms, too, produce silk for us – horses and donkeys do not wear silk – only we wear it. They are serving us night and day. Let us serve our Creator, and bow down before Him humbly, saying, ‘ Oh our Lord! Show us the right direction, and [we] pray for salvation.’
I assure you that in this country – where Allah Almighty has shown His Name – will become a holy country, where people come to pay homage and behold wonders and miracles taking place.”
