(Hancock NY, United States) The Muslims of America (TMOA) calls for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza to put an end to the already unbearable count of human lives lost.

The Abrahamic faiths of Islam, Christianity, and Judaism all agree and adhere to the Ten Commandments as revealed to Prophet Moses (Musa) may God’s peace be upon him “Thou Shall Not Kill.”

Indiscriminate bombing of buildings occupied by civilians, deploying white phosphorus chemicals upon a mass population, and withholding life-essential resources from innocent people are war crimes.

There has been an alarming increase in violence against American Muslims, including the murder of six-year-old Wadea Al Fayoume who after celebrating his 6th birthday, was brutally stabbed 26 times by a man he knew at least a third of his life. Sadly, this conflict has already divided the world and the masses feel it is their duty to take matters into their own hands. This tragic incident is a microcosm of what will continue in our world if world leaders continue to fail at valuing human life above political gains.

We, The Muslims of America, are a community of indigenous hard-working Americans. We have always responded to the call of aid in various parts of our country and throughout the world. Our American Muslim Medical Relief Team (AMMRT) offers to coordinate with other organizations to provide medical assistance to those who have crossed into neighboring countries.

As Muslims we only fear Allah. The basis of our belief is to enjoin good and forbid evil even if it is against ourselves. We demand the United States of America and every sovereign nation do their duty in protecting the lives of innocent people. Those who support justice should not resort to becoming unjust in pursuit of an objective.

Every oppressor should bear in mind that the Almighty is undefeated against tyrants and no one can escape the immutable law of God – which is whatever you sow you shall reap.
