The United Muslim Christian Forum (UMCF) Chapter of Alaska recently hosted its first round table discussion. There was great effort made to get the word out and invite coworkers, neighbors, and members of the community. The discussion was held at a well known coffee shop named Kaladi Brothers. Although the turnout was not as well as expected, the UMCF felt the effort was a start. The topic of discussion was a brief overview on the purpose, goals, and mission statement of the organization. There were clippings shown of the UMCF organization’s nationwide activities at previous events held around the country with other religious organizations.

The UMCF Chapter Alaska will continue to invite the community out encouraging everyone to join them in events, outreach programs, and educational discussions in an effort to come together under the banner of unity for all mankind according to the Holy Scriptures. The round table discussions are held twice a month.

UMCF is currently working with other humanitarian organizations in volunteering their time and positive energy.
A representative of the Alaska chapter of UMCF told The Islamic Post, “The next big upcoming event will be held in commemoration of our Blessed Jesus son of Mary (Peace be upon him). In an effort to show our Christian brethren and other interfaith groups how much we revere and love Jesus; we will discuss his birth, character, and his contributions to humanity.”
