American Muslims Denounce Terror In The Name of Islam

The Muslims of America, Inc. denounces, in the strongest of terms, the attempted terrorist attack that occurred in New York City on Monday, December 11, 2017. As Muslims, we further reject the perverted and Godless ideology which is the underpinning of attacks such as these. Wahabis, via their distorted belief system, have caused more damage to the world than any other group of people in recent history. They have brought immeasurable harm, bloodshed and destruction to Muslims for centuries on end. Less than a month ago, more than 300 worshippers were brutally slaughtered as they attended Friday prayer at a mosque in Egypt. The criminals who carried out this act ascribe to the dangerously misguided philosophy of Wahhabism.

Islam is, and has always been, a religion of peace, not terror. Killing innocent civilians is absolutely prohibited in Islam. We condemn this evil plot and the horrific acts perpetrated by the so called “Islamic State” (ISIS), whose ideologies are prohibited and are in direct contradiction to the teachings of Islam.
