BAMAKO - Newly elected president of Mali, Ibrahim Boubacar Keita, pledged to unite his strife-damaged nation  and end endemic corruption as he steps forward to  lead the deeply-divided west African country’s emergence from months of political crisis and conflict.

Keita, a former prime minister, began his five-year term in the presence of outgoing transitional leader Dioncounda Traore and more than 1,000 Malian politicians, diplomats and military personnel, as he took the presidential oath at the inaugural ceremony in Bamako, the Malian capital.

"I will not forget for a moment that you put me where I am to take care of all aspects of the life of our nation. National reconciliation remains the most urgent priority," he said after taking an oath to preserve the constitution, democracy and the law.

Mali's constitutional court confirmed Keita's landslide victory  in the August 11 presidential run-off against former minister Soumaila Cisse after an election campaign focused on law, order and ending the culture of impunity in public office.

"I want to reconcile hearts and minds, restore true brotherhood between us so that all the different people can play their part harmoniously in the national symphony," Keita said to huge applause.

The 68-year-old veteran of the political scene in Bamako is charged with leading the country out of a 17-month political crisis sparked by a military coup.

Army officers angry at the level of support they had received to combat a separatist Tuareg rebellion in the north overthrew the democratically-elected government of President Amadou Toumani Toure in the spring of 2012.

In the chaos that followed, the Tuareg seized control of an area larger than France before being ousted by Al-Qaeda-linked groups who imposed a brutal interpretation of Islamic law on the local population, carrying out amputations and executions.

Their actions drew worldwide condemnation and prompted France to launch a military offensive at Mali's behest together with thrust from the UN’s official international input to oust the Islamists in January.

The country's return to democracy has allowed France to begin withdrawing some of the 4,500 troops it had sent in.

"France welcomes the new president of the Republic of Mali, Ibrahim Boubacar Keita, on the occasion of his swearing-in ceremony," said French foreign ministry spokesman Philippe Lalliot in a statement.

"Granted a strong legitimacy with the outcome of the recent elections, the new authorities can now meet the needs of the people of Mali and the challenges facing Mali. France is ready to give its full support to President Keita."  Observers cite that French logistical assistance will continue, limiting the troop withdrawal initially planned by French President Hollande.

The son of a civil servant, Keita was born in 1945 in the southern industrial city of Koutiala, the declining heartland of cotton production in the country.

His election in the first presidential polls in Mali since 2007 was seen as crucial for unlocking more than $4 billion in aid promised by international donors who halted contributions in the wake of last year's coup.

His daunting workload over the coming months will include tackling an economy battered by political chaos and war, as well as healing ethnic divisions in the north and managing the return of 500,000 people who fled an Islamist insurgency.

Corruption has tainted government institutions and the military in Mali since it gained independence from France in 1960 and the country remains in the bottom third of Transparency International's ‘Corruption Perceptions Index’.  Some observers contend that the Malian government prior to the coup had been complicit with organized crime in the north, which would explain its complacency with the corruption known to exist there.

"I will put an end to impunity, to the special privileges that are at the heart of the perversion of our judicial and state institutions," Keita vowed.

"As president, I will ensure the proper management of public funds. I will put in place appropriate mechanisms to ensure transparency and efficiency of public spending. No one will get rich illegally off the back of the Malian people."

DAKAR, SENEGAL — Mali's president-elect Ibrahim Boubacar Keita says he will reconcile, reunite and rebuild the country after 18 months of crisis and conflict. Keita doesn't take office for another two weeks, but his to-do list is already long and Malians are eager for results.

Ibrahim Boubacar Keita takes office September 4th on a tidal wave of popularity.

The one-time prime minister and former president of the National Assembly won the August 11th run-off election with 77 percent of votes.

In his first public declaration as president-elect, Keita said he would be the "president of all Malians."

"I will be the president of national reconciliation.  This reconciliation is necessary to deal with the demands of our people: to rebuild the state and the rule of law, to fix the army and the education system, to fight corruption and to foster economic and social development.  I will be the president to rebuild the nation," said the president-elect.

Keita said recently that it would be a "new era."  Even so, he is inheriting some hefty problems.

A Tuareg rebellion that began in  2012 is still rumbling in the far north.  Mali is now host to a massive U.N. mission to stabilize the north after a nine-month occupation by armed extremist groups who tried to set up their version of an Islamic state.

The leaders of the recent military coup in Mali are still lurking around the foreground in Bamako.  One of the final acts of the interim government was to promote coup leader Captain Amadou Sanogo to the rank of general.

Keita won the presidency thanks to a large and complex web of support from Muslim religious leaders, the military and most of his first-round rivals.  His campaign always maintained that Keita was not cutting deals in exchange for votes.

But analysts said it could be difficult to manage all those alliances once in office.  Malians are watching closely to see who Keita names to his cabinet.

Keita said recently his government would be a ‘meritocracy’, not one guided by political or family alliances. "Let me be clear.  There is no question of sharing out the cake.  I have not promised that and it will not happen," he said.

But actions speak louder than words, even the tough talk that Keita is known for. When asked what the country needed, voters often used the French verb "assainir," which means to flush out, to decontaminate, to clean up.  They wanted to see Keita tackle the root causes of the crisis.

At the top of that list were the pervasive corruption and patronage that analysts said undermined development, crippled the army and ultimately handed the north over to criminal and terrorist groups.

Keita has pledged "zero tolerance" for corruption, but analysts say he must prove it, and fast, by doing what previous governments in Mali have not - by investigating and punishing those embezzling public resources.  Something analysts say could be a hard pill to swallow for some of his political allies.

Security is the other key challenge.

Keita will have 60 days to open up what promises to be difficult negotiations with the armed Tuareg separatist group, the National Movement for the Liberation of Azawad (MNLA) and its allies in the far northern region of Kidal that launched an uprising in January of 2012 -  the fourth of its kind since Mali became a country in 1960.  Many say it is up to Keita to make it the last.

Political analyst Issa Ndiaye said, "it will be hard to get Malians to accept a special status for Kidal. The problems are not just in Kidal. We need to find a nationwide solution to implement an enhanced form of decentralization that allows local populations to make decisions about their lives, and in particular about the exploitation of natural resources."

Many Malians blame the MNLA for setting off the chain of events last year that saw the elected government toppled by unruly soldiers in the spring of this year and the north being taken over by Islamist militant groups just weeks later.

The nomadic Tuareg are a minority ethnic group in Mali's sparsely populated north.  Perceived privileges bestowed on ex-rebels under previous peace accords have bred resentment and perceptions of a kind of "positive discrimination" in favor of the Tuareg.

Those negotiations will be just one part of returning security and state authority to the formerly occupied north, where violence has forced hundreds of thousands to flee their homes and decimated the economy.

As part of a nationwide month of activities opposing the rapidly expanding use of drones for murder and extremely intrusive surveillance, hundreds gathered in front of the White House on April 13 to voice their disapproval and unwillingness to accept the Obama administration’s secretive killing program with the use of drones to murder thousands of people worldwide. That day was branded the ‘National Day of Action’, that called for “Drones Out of Africa, Asia, the Middle East and Everywhere.” Participants spoke out against the administration turning the US into a monstrous killing country.

In coordination with the Washington, DC protest, similar protests took place in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Albuquerque, Chicago and other cities, organized by the Answer Coalition. The coalition called on the administration to stop the use of drones on foreign soil. Organizers also spoke out against the threats of new US wars and interventions in the Middle East, Africa and elsewhere. The coalition urged its members to stop the US government as it “functions as a death squad government, permitting the president and military leaders to create secret ‘kill lists’ of people who have been selected for assassination.”

The US government is expanding its drone campaign on to the continent of Africa with drone presence in Djibouti, and flying unarmed drones from Ethiopia. Surveillance flights have been conducted over East Africa from Seychelles.

Predator drones, which are designed to carry missiles, have been introduced into Niger that borders Mali. The administration believes Al Qaeda and such groups have established themselves in West Africa. Washington says the predator drones are unarmed, only gathering intel and conducting surveillance over Mali and Niger. Arming the drones has not been ruled out.

Drone strikes were first used after the 9/11 attacks from bases in Pakistan and Uzbekistan, in combat missions inside Afghanistan and along the Pakistan border under the Bush administration and have continued with this administration. More than a decade later, having killed almost 5,000 people, mostly civilians including women and children, Washington has expanded the use of the remotely controlled aircraft into Yemen, Somalia and most of all in Pakistan.

The 2011 Air Force Chief of Staff General T. Michael Moseley proudly proclaimed: “We’ve moved from using [drones] primarily in intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance roles before Operation Iraqi Freedom, to a true hunter-killer role with the Reaper.”

In February of this year, President Obama signed the FAA Modernization and Reform Act of 2012, a bill that the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) described as containing requirements for integrating drones into the national airspace starting immediately. The FAA anticipates as many as 30,000 drones to be in the skies over America by the end of the decade; they are likely to begin flying by 2015.

A Back Room Bargain to Kill

An article in the New York Times, adapted from an excerpt of the Times national security correspondent Mark Mazzetti’s new book on the CIA drone campaign in Pakistan,“The Way of the Knife”, provides details on how the killing campaign started. With one targeted killing and at least three other simultaneous kills, including two boys, aged 10 and 16.

Selection from the Times:

The target was not a top operative of Al Qaeda, but a Pakistani, allegedly an ally of the Taliban, who led a tribal rebellion that fought and humbled Pakistan’s army in the country’s western mountains, and was marked by then president of Pakistan Pervez Musharraf’s government as an enemy of the state. In a secret deal, the CIA had agreed to kill him in exchange for access to airspace it had long sought so it could use drones to hunt down its own enemies.

That back-room bargain, described in detail for the first time in interviews with more than a dozen officials in Pakistan and the United States, is critical to understanding the origins of a covert drone war that began under the Bush administration, was embraced and expanded by President Obama, and is now the subject of fierce debate. The deal, a month after a blistering internal report about abuses in the CIA’s network of secret prisons, paved the way for the CIA to change its focus from capturing terrorists to killing them, and helped transform an agency that began as a cold war espionage service into a paramilitary organization.

The deal with Pakistan, struck in 2004, limited CIA drones to the tribal regions, along the Afghan borders, away from its own terror training camps. Since then, the CIA has conducted at least 366 strikes, killing at least 2,537 people, including 168 children. The CIA has conducted hundreds of drone strikes in Pakistan that have killed thousands of people. The Obama Administration’s proposed rules for the use of drones, brought up only after his entire first term had passed, exempts the CIA’s operations in Pakistan.

Secrecy is Not An Option

The April protests across the country and the consensus of Congress against the most secretive program of this administration is sending an unclouded message to the White House -- secrecy is not an option for this government to invoke when placing American citizens on kill lists, or the use of drones in the assassination of anyone off the battlefield without due process of the law. It is incongruous that the government would write clandestine laws justifying murder of its citizens and to justify trespassing on the sovereignty of a country to spy on and assassinate its citizens.

Major milestones have been reached for the release of information on the Obama secretive killing program and the CIA’s knowledge of drones used by the government in targeted killings. The American people are holding the administration accountable to its word for transparency of government and for the protection of rules of law.

In March Senator Rand Paul, Republican from Kentucky with a bipartisan backing took a posture to protect the Constitution and the Bill of Rights; along with the outrage of the American people, Congress has exercised its authority to provide checks and balances for the executive office and its most secretive killing program. As a result, the demand emerged for the White House to turn over to Congress and the American public its legal opinions justifying Obama’s vast killing program.

D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals ruling in a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit filed by the ACLU for release of information on the secretive killing program was directed at the CIA, the administration’s partner in secrecy about the government’s use of drones in killing people away from the battlefield. The CIA’s typical response to inquiries about its knowledge of the government’s involvement in the use of drones as part of the secretive killing program – “cannot confirm or deny”. This ruling made two things very clear, the CIA is not exempt in its drone operations and the public has the right to understand and evaluate the government’s defense of the drone program with information that goes beyond what has been selectively leaked and disclosed. The CIA will have to change its vernacular and disposition when responding to requests for information about drones; refusal to explain its knowledge with “ cannot confirm or deny” on the issue of drones is not an option.

The First State Laws on Drones

Idaho Governor Butch Otter signed into law the first bill in the nation protecting individuals from unfettered surveillance by unmanned aerial vehicles.

Virginia enacted the very first drones bill nationwide on April 3. Their bill imposes a two-year moratorium on law enforcement drone use, except in emergencies, in order to give the VA legislature time to put in place legal protections for domestic drone use.

Idaho’s new law, which, like Virginia’s moratorium, will go into effect on July 1, prohibits law enforcement from using drones to conduct investigations absent a probable cause warrant, ensuring that the police can only use drones to watch Idahoans who are suspected of wrongdoing and can’t keep an eye on everyone in the Gem State just in case they do something wrong.

In this edition of The Islamic Post, El Sheikh Syed Mubarik Ali Shah Gillani, head of the Qadiree Sufi order, Imam of the Muslims of the Americas (MOA) and a direct Descendant of the Holy Last Messenger (peace be upon him), delivers an open and dynamic statement to expose the despicable plot of the Wahabis, particularly their deadliest armed wing – Ikhwanul Muslimeen- who have attacked his family and community. El Sheikh Gillani warns the American government that the Zionist-backed Wahabis, who are not Muslim, will stop at nothing to achieve their devious aim to provoke a clash between Muslims and Christians.  El Sheikh Gillani calls for Muslims and Christians to join hands together to fight Wahhabi terrorism and their quest for global world domination

Ikhwanul Muslimeen (IM) is the deadliest armed wing of the Wahhabis, which was created by Ibn-as-Saud with the aim to extinguish all those who do not believe in their religion, Wahabism, which declares Muslims to be heretics, and Holy Shrines and Sufi Centers as places of idol worship. Wahabis are operating in many countries under various cover names such as Salafi, Darrussalam, and Al-Qaida as well as in the middle of India and Pakistan under the name of Lashkar-Jhangui (LU), Lashkar-A-Tayyaba (LT), Sifah-A-Sahaba (SS). A glimpse into their past horrendous deeds will open the eyes of everyone for they specialize in murdering Descendants of the Holy Last Messenger (peace be upon him), Sufis, and destroying their Mosques, Shrines and Tombs.

I, El Sheikh Syed Mubarik Ali Shah Gillani, am head of the Qadiree Sufi order, Vice Chancellor of the International Qur’anic Open University, Imam of the Muslims of the Americas and a direct Descendant of the Holy Last Messenger (peace be upon him). I find it necessary to clarify certain things about myself and our community, which is being falsely labeled as terrorist organization. The Muslims of the Americas (MOA) is a Sufi organization. We have gotten rid of Wahabi Ikhwanul Muslimeen in America. I came to the U.S. in 1980, to propagate Islam. My mission is supported with the appearance of miraculous signs. Ninety-nine (99%) of people who come to the United States from other countries are aiming to make a fortune through business and other enterprises; some come to commit fraud, cheat and deprive people. On the contrary, my sole aim was to save humanity.

Soon after my arrival in America, thousands of members from Ikhwan-al-Muslimeen’s Herkimer Place headquarters in New York City, followed me and became Sufis. I then established a new organization for non-Wahhabi Sufi Muslims, the Muslims of the Americas. However, those “die hard” individuals who were involved in gang wars for distribution of funds from Arab countries did not give up, but followed the Sufi way while setting up their underground organization, Ikhwan-al-Muslimeen (also known as Ikhwanul Muslimun). Jamil Abdul Haqq, who had been crippled in a gang war, became my follower and later on, I made him my Khalifa. Most surprisingly and shockingly, he was secretly the head of the hit team of Ikhwanul Muslimeen and established himself at the MOA village of Islamberg by occupying a doublewide mobile home. Haqq went so far as to have his collaborator submit MOA incorporation papers without the knowledge of IQOU and MOA administration. One of his accomplices, Hasib Abdul Haqq, counterfeited my signature making me president and then stating that from then onward “Ikhwan-ul-Muslimun” would be known as MOA. I did not approve or sign such a document. I was never President of MOA. This was a treacherous attack by Wahhabis to sabotage the Sufis. We recently discovered this horrendous fraud and after throwing out the culprits are filing new incorporation papers

My last visit to the U.S. was in 1990 and before that previous visits were brief. Jamil Haqq took advantage of my absence to start the biggest fraud in history by closing his eyes, taking long breaths, and going through physical changes before speaking to people as if he were Sheikh Gillani. Some believed him and so Ikhwan once again tried to take root. Jamil Haqq recruited people from Delaware, Atlantic City, and beyond who were involved in street crimes, drugs, brothels, unemployment fraud, and other offenses. Unfortunately, when caught, it brought a bad name to MOA. It was Jamil Haqq who patronized the Egyptian Ali A. Aziz, the man now known to be an NYPD informant who married a girl from a family that was also living in Haqq’s doublewide.

For the last thirty-two years, I have guided American Muslims to become good, honorable and educated citizens who stay away from welfare and move away from the filthy ghettos. Our community’s fourth generation of ladies and men are educated, working a trade, doctors, lawyers, architects and builders- all enjoying complete freedom in their own peaceful villages. It is the saving of humanity that brought me to the U.S., not to carry out an anti-American campaign as claimed by the Christian Action Network (CAN). Now, we are under attack by those who are acting like terrorists and funded by Zionists under operating front organizations. In Pakistan, and other Muslim countries, Christian minorities are independent and live peacefully without bother. On the contrary, in America, the Muslim villages are being attacked by automatic weapons and no one is arrested.

Fact is, I was able to disband the world’s most dangerous setup of Wahabis, the Ikhwanul Muslimeen. I expect that the American government would show gratitude for having saved thousands of youth from a life of crime. Almighty God made it possible to do so because He sent me not only with knowledge, but with miraculous signs. At the MOA village of Islamberg, in our Sufi shrine and mosque, Almighty God’s personal name, Allah, has been shining for the last two and a half years. Many have beheld the Holy Last Messenger Muhammad and Jesus son the Chaste Mary (peace be upon them) as well as witnessing bright rainbows, even at night.

As a guide to people, Almighty God has also given me the ability to demonstrate the truth and powers of the words of Almighty God over human, non-human, animate and inanimate objects. It is on record that in 1975 the World Health Organization (WHO) sponsored an international conference of psychiatrists held in Cairo and attended by London’s Dr. Dennis Leigh, the Hon. General Secretary of the International Psychiatrists Federation as well as other psychiatrists. Their objective was to find a remedy from other disciplines for many incurable diseases. A delegation from Saudi Arabia under Health Minister Husain al Jazeeri and the Director of mental health at Taif Medical Hospital, Dr. Osama Radi, accepted the challenge to prove patients could be healed using select portions of Holy Qur’an. The Saudi Arabian delegation advised they would bring forth learned scholars to accept the challenge. Psychiatrists laughed saying the delegation wanted to take psychiatry “back five hundred years” to the age of black magic.

When the Saudi delegation returned home, they asked their Chief Imam of Makkah, Sheikh Ahmad Sabeel to be prepared to give a demonstration of the power of the words of God. He excused himself saying of course, there is promise of healing, but “we don’t know how to derive benefit from that”. They asked Chief Mufti Sheikh Bin Baz who had already declared the tomb of the Holy Last Messenger (peace be upon him) as a place of idols. Bin Baz refused the challenge. Eventually, two princes from Saudi Arabia went to Maudoodi in Lahore, Pakistan. Maudoodi had been given financial support for his mission, which included great opposition to Sufis and all those who rejected Wahhabism. Maudoodi did not know how to derive benefit from the words of Holy Qur’an, but said to try the Sufis. Prince Muhammad, the Saudi Chancellor and another prince I would not like to name because he later became the King, came to me knowing that my Holy Shrine of the spiritual Qadri Order is well known over the last three hundred years. They attended a dinner I held in their honor and presented the challenge. I said, “Well, you call Sufis heretics and particularly descendants of the Holy Last Messenger (peace be upon him) as ‘lesser idols’. Furthermore, you call people who go to the graves of parents and teachers to send credit to their departed souls as ‘grave-worshippers’.” The princes were very apologetic. I accepted the challenge, “Ok, I’m prepared to help you on the condition that I’ll accept no pay, a separate institution for the research and demonstration must be established and then by the grace of Allah I will be there to meet the challenge.”

In Taif, Saudi Arabia, a wing was established in the Shahar Mental Hospital where, under strict scientific observation, I used Holy Qur’an to heal patients suffering from incurable schizophrenia, neurosis, insomnia, witchcraft, black magic, suicidal patients, and night frights. Despite lack of facilities, my healing rate was about 50%. Two doctors assisted in recording and documenting. I completed the scientific demonstration leaving records, reports and clippings from official Saudi newspapers. In 1980, I took this methodology, the El Gilani Methodology (EGM), to the United States. There, I set up psychiatric healing clinics and began training the American Muslims. In February 2012, a delegation of EGM practitioners, who are medical doctors, attended a conference in California sponsored by the Citizens Commission on Human Rights. At the conference, the delegation presented an updated EGM journal, which lists case studies of the only scientific methodology to actually heal patients. There is no hocus pocus.

I reveal these personal aspects of my life in order to dispel false accusations and propaganda about why I came to America and to underscore the dangers of Wahabis, who are the enemies of Sufis. I have myself personally been attacked six times by the Ikhwanul Muslimeen and Al Qaeda groups in Pakistan. I no longer find Pakistan a safe place for myself or my family. I am the head of a family who is all Americans and I plan to send them back to America where they can be safe from attacks by the terrorists. The campaign of falsehood against me and the MOA community has been launched by the Zionist front organizations, such as CAN, who wish to spark a clash between Muslims and Christian, but they have no understanding of the relationship.

There is nothing uncommon between Islam and Christianity, save a wooden stick. As such, there is nothing common between Islam and Wahabism-they are two separate religions so much so it is part of the Wahhabi religion to murder non-Wahabis as found in the detail in the book Confessions of a British Spy. Some of my followers were able to meet the promised Imam Mahdi who will come very soon, followed by Jesus, son of Mary who will appear on the Eastern dome of the rock in Palestine. Thereafter, Islam and Christianity will merge as one for they are two aspects of the same reality. As Muslims, we believe in Jesus, son of Mary as a messenger and prophet of Almighty God. We believe in Jesus, son of Mary’s Holy Gospel -though it is not currently found without change. For these reasons, some years ago we founded the United Muslim Christian Forum where we join together to celebrate the birthdays of both messengers. We know our enemies are trying to bring about clash of civilizations the way they brought about clash between Americans and Germans by allowing the Japanese to bomb Pearl Harbor. At that time, Germans were not against Americans, but they were against Zionist. So Zionist sacrificed the lives of millions of Americans to save themselves. Similarly, in Iraq, despite the fact that UN inspectors gave statements that no weapons of mass destruction existed, there was a push seen on Fox News to insist that WMDs were there.

The Muslims of the Americas has been targeted by Martin Mawyer who also appears on Fox programs passing claims that the village of Islamberg has WMDs. Another man ludicrously claimed that MOA has nuclear weapons, underground bunkers, tunnels and airports. An independent NY news channel, Al Arabiya investigated, inspected and proved with local police that every claim was a lie and no laws have been broken on Islamberg. One of CAN’s oft-repeated propaganda tools is to instill fear by showing pictures and video of Muslims doing military training and then state the training is being done by American Muslims to attack America. It is a well-known fact that those videos are from decades ago, when US President Reagan, the United Nations and the world was directing efforts against the communist threat of Russia in Afghanistan “calling” for people to come fight, urging the freedom fighters in their right to self-determination. Other videos feature Kashmiris who were also supported in their quest for freedom against the atrocities and genocide they faced under Hindu rule as sanctioned by a UN Resolution in 1947. These lies serve one purpose: to provoke an attack by the U.S. government against the American Muslim.

I warn the American government that in order to destroy the images of Muslims in America, our enemies are working day and night by posing as “jihadists” and brainwashing local American Muslims to undertake acts of sabotage. In 1993, such elements lured some Muslims saying they would train them to make bombs from fertilizers and later took them to America to destroy the World Trade Center. Thankfully, they were arrested. However, these wahabis will stop at nothing even very dangerous suicide bombers against all Americans- Muslims and otherwise.

My request to President Obama, as he enters his second term as president, is to protect Muslim minorities in America. This request is from me to him, for whether he acknowledges or not, he belongs to my family – the family of the Holy Last Messenger (peace be upon him) -as his real name is Syed Mubarik Hussain Obama. Almighty God has given him the opportunity to govern the U.S. and I advise him to do so with justice and kindness as he looks after the rights of all people, including saving the American Muslims from so-called Christians who are terrorizing them. This campaign of harassment led by Mawyer must stop, including his publishing of MOA addresses on the web. Not surprisingly, gunshots were recently fired at an MOA location in Virginia near the CAN headquarters. These criminals and their instigators must be arrested. American Muslims will not retaliate because we know that it will result in war in America between Muslims and Christians and we desire unity. Moreover, I need not advise the president to stop the use of drones that kill innocents in Afghanistan. Albeit, if you try to stop it you cannot because the drone lobby in America is very strong. The world knows that the U.S. isn’t truly operating independently anymore. Anyone who goes against the Zionist lobby in America goes the way of President John F. Kennedy. Nonetheless, ultimately these things have their own repercussions, not by men, but by the Almighty Creator as you have already seen through the devastating storm that hit the East coast.

With these words of clarification, I have advised the U.S. government to be careful about Ikhwanul Muslimeen and their branches who intend to brainwash local youngsters into becoming suicide bombers, which Islam forbids. If needed, I might have to come back to the U.S. to save, protect and seek justice for the life and property of the American Muslim. I demand that Muslims and Christians should join hands together to fight the Wahhabi terrorism and their global order.

The Mail revealed shocking new evidence of the full horrific impact of drone attacks in Pakistan.

A damning dossier assembled from exhaustive research into the strikes’ targets sets out in heartbreaking detail the deaths of teachers, students and Pakistani policemen. It also describes how bereaved relatives are forced to gather their loved ones’ dismembered body parts in the aftermath of strikes.

The dossier has been assembled by human rights lawyer Shahzad Akbar, who works for Pakistan’s Foundation for Fundamental Rights and the British human rights charity Reprieve.

Filed in two separate court cases, it is set to trigger a formal murder investigation by police into the roles of two US officials said to have ordered the strikes. They are Jonathan Banks, former head of the Central Intelligence Agency’s Islamabad station, and John A. Rizzo, the CIA’s former chief lawyer. Mr Akbar and his staff have already gathered further testimony which has yet to be filed.

“We have statements from a further 82 victims’ families relating to more than 30 drone strikes,” he said. “This is their only hope of justice.”

In the first case, which has already been heard by a court in Islamabad, judgment is expected imminently. If the judge grants Mr Akbar’s petition, an international arrest warrant will be issued via Interpol against the two.

The second case is being heard in the city of Peshawar. In it, Mr Akbar and the families of drone victims who are civilians are seeking a ruling that further strikes in Pakistani airspace should be viewed as acts of war.

They argue that means the Pakistan Air Force should try to shoot down the drones and that the government should sever diplomatic relations with the US and launch murder inquiries against those responsible.

According to a report last month by academics at Stanford and New York universities, between 2,562 and 3,325 people have been killed since the strikes in Pakistan began in 2004.

The Taliban has denied responsibility for twin bombings in June at a crowded market in Peshawar, misleading the public in their claim, “We do not target civilians and mosques.” The latest extremist attack killed at least 35 people, wounded more than 100 others.

The event was reminiscent of prior attacks involving the Taliban, including the assault on Sufis praying at the tomb of Hazrat Data Sahib in Lahore one year ago. The teen-aged suicide bomber whose vest failed to explode fully said he was told by his Taliban handlers, ‘These are the infidels. They are not doing what Muslims should do. Anyone who kills them will go to heaven,’  Mubarak Ahmed, a senior Dera Ghazi Khan police official handling the investigation, told the LA Times.

To head off the violent deaths that have been wracking Pakistan, it is important to gauge the areas where the poisonous venom of terrorism has infiltrated the country, as well as the source of the snake-like ideology infiltrated the country.  Necessary also, is tracking the source of the snake-like ideology .

Improper assessment of sources could result in the busy work of removing the tail of the snake while the head and body remain. If the 2008 Wikileaks cable on the subject is true, neither the Pakistan government nor the United States have heretofore been serious about striking at the root of extremism, though the fight has killed many terrorists, civilians and army personnel. This  recent release by Dawn News is under a memorandum of understanding with Julian Assange, founder of  Wikileaks.

Wikileaks, a publishing group that claims it takes pains to preserve the security of governments while demanding transparency, granted the Dawn Media Group exclusive first use in Pakistan of all the US diplomatic cables related to political and other developments in the country. In the cable in question, entitled “2008: Extremist Recruitment on the Rise in South Punjab Madrassahs,” Bryan Hunt, then Principal Officer at the US Consulate in Lahore, communicated telling discussions held between him and Sufis in Multan and Bahawalpur, and his suggestions to stop poisonous extremism, which he made to the US State Department, National Security Agency, Central Intelligence Agency and others.

In his summary, Hunt wrote: “During recent trips to southern Punjab, Principal Officer was repeatedly told that a sophisticated jihadi [sic] recruitment network had been developed in the Multan, Bahawalpur, and Dera Ghazi Khan Divisions.

“The network reportedly exploited worsening poverty in these areas of the province to recruit children into the divisions’ growing Deobandi and Ahl-eHadith madrassa network from which they were indoctrinated into jihadi [sic] philosophy, deployed to regional training/indoctrination centers, and ultimately sent to terrorist training camps in the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA).”

Fighting Islam.

Although the true “jihadi philosophy” encourages Muslims to struggle against oppression, be that an internal fight with egoistic behavior, or a coordinated defense against an aggressor, extremist groups like those mentioned in Hunt’s cable have nothing to do with jihad. Terrorists abuse the name of jihad and other Islamic injunctions. These serpents seek to justify their inhuman poisoning of religion and killing of innocents by adopting the noble name of jihad.

The cable made plain the first commitment of those who reject the teachings of Islam: the severance of the connection to that spiritual light.  Hunt writes, “extremists visit poor families in order to persuade them to yield their children to the terrorists’ creed. Fake maulanas, teachers that mislead others about religion, used false arguments “to convince the parents that their poverty is a direct result of their family’s deviation from ‘the true path of Islam’ through ‘idolatrous’ worship at local Sufi shrines and/or with local Sufi Pirs [sic]. The maulana suggests that the quickest way to return to favor would be to devote the lives of one or two of their sons to Islam.”

An unholy war.

This snake-like ideology has amassed victims. It spews the venom of jealousy and spite against those who carry the legacy of Islam, the descendants of the Holy Last Messenger (peace be upon him) and their true followers who have been admitted into the realm of God’s love and is  manifested in the Wahhabi attempt to destroy Islamic traditions and thereby Islam itself.

Despite Hunt’s ignorance of the distinction, he exposes an important point: the Wahhabite hatred of the family of the Holy Last Messenger, Muhammad (peace be upon him), and those to whom they passed the spirit of Islam. The descendants of the Holy Family and those who have inherited these teachings, the friends of the Almighty, are an inestimable source of guidance who have been bestowed with Divine light in this life and in the Hereafter. Whether walking on the Earth or buried inside it, the legacy of such holy beings and their spiritual light continues to flow.

However, the Wahhabis have ignored what is contained in Holy Qur’an, Surah al-Haj (Ayah 32):  “And those who venerate the Sha’a’ir Allahi (Signs/Symbols of Allah), then that is from the Taqwa in their hearts.” In Holy Qur’an Sha’a’ir Allah refers to the rites of the Islamic pilgrimage to Makkah. However, in a sound tradition of the Holy Last Messenger Muhammad (peace be upon him), it is narrated that when his blessed personage looked at the Holy Ka’bah, he said, “How great are you, oh House of Allah, but I swear by Allah who created me, that the honour the believer [deserves] is even greater than you.”

The Holy Last Messenger Muhammad (peace be upon him) did mark the graves of his pious companions. The successors among the Holy Companions did not dare destroy the graves of the holy people of their day and from ages before. This despicable practice has been initiated by the Saudis and their Wahhabi followers.

Although the Most High commands respect for the signs which lead people to Him, it is now seen that people are paid to give up visiting shrines and to sacrifice their children to profligates. Huge sums of money are paid, according to the cable, in order to “exploit families with multiple children, particularly those facing severe financial difficulties in light of inflation, poor crop yields, and growing unemployment.”  In the beginning stages, “the maulana will offer to educate these children at his madrassa and to find them employment in the service of Islam.” Later, “The concept of ‘martyrdom’ is often discussed and the family is promised that if their sons are ‘martyred’ both the sons and the family will attain ‘salvation’ and the family will obtain God’s favor in this life, as well. An immediate cash payment is finally made to the parents to compensate the family for its ‘sacrifice’ to Islam.”

Those who turn over their children, may later find them again on the evening news, found blown up or with torn limbs after attempting to destroy the tombs of saints like Hazrat Data Ganj Baksh and to kill maximum numbers of Pakistani police, military and every day civilians.

‘Blood’ money.

“Local sources claim that the current average rate is approximately Rps. 500,000 (approximately USD 6500) per son,” an astronomical amount for the average Pakistani family, let alone one in extreme poverty. But for the Wahhabis, by whichever name they use: Salafis, Taliban, Al Qaeda, money is not an issue. After all, there is an unending stream of funding from the seat of Wahhabism: Saudi Arabia. Saudi influence is used to win the hearts and minds of Muslims. Those who succumb to the poisonous fang of the Wahhabis sign away their soul for the influence acquired from shining new mosques that draw crowds of unsuspecting prey; new maulanas, muftis and sheikhs teaching a new creed with glossy literature of  hate.

All the while they are consistently “minimizing the importance of traditionally moderate Sufi religious leaders in these communities...[while] further strengthening reliance on extremist groups,” says Hunt, according to Wikileaks.

The cable says 100 million USD has been funneled annually to fake maulanas in Pakistan, alone.

What is being done?

In the cable published by Dawn, Hunt writes, “Locals repeatedly requested USG [United States government] support for socio-economic development and the promotion of moderate religious leaders in the region as a direct counter to the growing extremist threat.”

He cites a narration from one Sufi scholar how he had gone to various government authorities, warning of the spread of extremism, even giving exact locations of the madrassas and camps, only to be turned away.

Hunt, himself, appears to be ringing alarm bells in the cable to his superiors.

He concludes his findings with the following remarks: “Post  [Hunt] believes that this growing recruitment network poses a direct threat to USG counter-terrorism and counter-extremism efforts in Pakistan. Intervention at this stage in the southern and western Punjab could still be useful to counter the prevailing trends favoring extremist organizations. USAID  development resources in agriculture, economic growth, education, and infrastructure development are useful and necessary and will address some of the immediate needs. In post’s view short-term, quick impact programs are required which focus on: (1) immediate relief in the form of food aid and microcredit, (2) cash for work and community-based, quick-impact infrastructure development programs focusing on irrigation systems, schools, and other critical infrastructure, and (3) strategic communication programs designed to educate on the dangers of the terrorist recruiting networks and to support counter-terrorist, counter-extremist messages.”

Almost three years later, Hunt also appears to have been turned away by his government in the same way as the Sufi scholar was turned away by Pakistani authorities. In his own way, he also notably attempted to pull extremism up from the roots, or in other words, to kill the snake instead of cutting its tail

Osama bin Laden has no one to blame but himself that he was a pawn of the intelligence community for decades, inevitably to be discarded, shot in the face, his body weighted down and cast to the bottom of the sea.

The parallel of bin Laden is mirrored in the annals of history, with the founder of Osama’s terrorist creed: Muhammad bin Abdul Wahhab of Najd. It is necessary to comprehend bin Laden’s Wahhabite origins in bin Abdul Wahhab to truly understand what needs to be done to destroy the modern terrorist allegiance.

Bin Abdul Wahhab is the founder of Wahhabism, a wayward and murderous sect announced in Saudi Arabia, around 1738 A.D.. The relevant point in his history is that bin Abdul Wahhab was led, coaxed and prompted by a British intelligence agent known as Hempher. Confessions of a British Spy, a Hakikat Kitabevi publication, explains how Hempher, one of thousands of agents sent forth to reclaim and broaden the British Empire, set plots and laid traps of every imaginable kind to destroy Islam from within.

According to Confessions, the wide expanse of polytheistic lands in Asia posed no obstacle to British domination of the same because their religions did not inspire patriotism. However, love of one’s country being part and parcel of Islam, in addition to Muslims’ strong attachment to Islamic traditions and culture, rendered inhabitants of the Ottoman empire more resistant to slavery.

In the view of British intelligence, more subversive means had to be found to subdue the Muslim world. Hempher writes: “Islam was once a religion of administration and authority and Muslims were respected. It would be difficult to tell these respectable people that they are slaves now. Nor would it be possible to falsify the Islamic history and say to Muslims: The honour and respect you obtained at one time was the result of some (favourable) conditions. Those days are gone now, and they will never come back.”

Hempher used bin Abdul Wahhab’s ignorance and arrogance to mislead him and to spawn a new creed, one that shunned traditional Islamic scholars and theology. British intelligence, the puppet master of “Islamic” terrorism, would “insert heresies into Muslims’ credal tenets then criticize Islam for being a religion of terror,” Hempher said.

Osama bin Laden (a CIA asset, as will be expounded upon later in the text) and his Wahhabi minions: Salafis, Taliban, Al Qaeda and others carry out the underground mission to (1) defame Islam as promoting terrorism, and (2) to spark outrage amongst non-Muslims against those who follow the Islamic faith, the latter to such a degree that the 80-85% of Muslims in Pakistan and other countries who follow traditional Islam and reject Wahhabism, feel a heavy burden of proof to let the world know that neither Islam nor Muslims condone or support terrorist activity.

The worst irony is that the vast majority of the people killed by Wahhabis are actually Muslim. This is not surprising when another parallel to the past is considered - the fact that bin Abdul Wahhab was gifted with munitions and encouraged to slaughter Muslims in Arabia by the tens of thousands to establish the current Wahhabi state --which he did. Osama bin Laden was supported by the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) of the United States and billions of dollars in weapons were given to the Taliban who were, at the time, fighting the Soviet Union. When Al Qaeda decided to form a global Wahhabi caliphate, the Taliban used the same weapons slaughtering Muslims in this attempt.

In a 1998 article “Terror ‘Blowback’ Burns CIA,” Andrew Marshall of the UK Independent detailed the connection between the CIA and Osama bin Laden, including his invitation to establish a non-profit organization, Al-Kifah, in the US during the Soviet campaign. Marshall concludes: ”There are probably only three people outside the U.S. government who ever knew exactly what role the Al-Kifah refugee centre really played, and how far the U.S. helped to build up Mr. bin Laden’s organisation. One was Mr. Azzam, the charismatic Palestinian who ran the Peshawar operation. He was killed by a car bomb in 1989. The second was Mustafa Shalabi, who ran Al-Kifah. He was murdered in 1991. The third is Osama bin Laden, and he is not telling.”

Texas Senator Ron Paul said upon bin Laden’s death, “Why does our government invite conspiracy theories? Why not show a picture [to publicly identify the body]?” The same can be applied with bin Laden’s connection with the CIA.

It is the most serious concern for humanity that a violent extremist sect has connections to an intelligence organization that has admittedly conducted experiments on its own people with mind control programs. The CIA’s MK-ULTRA harbored Nazi psychologists to brainwash civilians and military alike in the quest for perfect spies. CIA records that have been made public show how this was achieved by using hideous forms of torture to form a dissociative state in the victim who would ultimately utilize different personalities for different missions, none of them knowing what the other was programmed for or had achieved using the same body.

The results of the collaboration of a shadow government [that John F. Kennedy risked his life to restrain] with violent terrorists has been seen in the death and destruction dominating the world today.

Not Muslim.

Wahhabi extremists are not Muslim and have nothing to do with Islam. They have wound a circle of oppression by killing Muslims on one hand and encouraging the defamation of Islam on the other. This is done to such an extent that every terrorist act is blamed upon Muslims, who live in fear of harassment at every turn.

The cycle can only be broken with the simple understanding of what a Muslim is and is not. Writing for the UK Guardian, Stephen Suleyman Schwartz, author of The Two Faces of Islam: The House of Sa’ud from Tradition to Terror challenges the news media to “ask moderate Muslim scholars whether they consider Bin Laden to have died in a state of Islamic belief.” He continues in his article, “Osama bin Laden did not deserve an Islamic burial. That the U.S. forces washed the body and allowed a short recitation in Arabic, presumably ‘Al-Fatiha,’ the opening chapter of Qur’an, indicates that they believed he died as a Muslim.” Schwartz also issued a statement that “Bin Laden did not die a martyr of Islam … he was an apostate from Muslim belief in his defence of violence against civilians and other innocents,” and therefore not worthy of a Muslim burial.

Bury Wahhabism.

Muslims believe there are more important things than how bin Laden should have been buried; rather, bury his teachings, bury his false credibility, dig the grave and bury the doubt that bin Laden and other Wahhabi extremists are Muslim. This takes a concerted effort between Muslims and non-Muslims to win the War of Ideas.

Although interfaith forums take place all over the world, and Muslims and their Christian brethren gather [See UMCF, front page] to spread the peace taught by the Holy Messenger Jesus and the Holy Last Messenger Muhammad (may the peace of God be upon them), Muslims and non-Muslims must also work together to root out extremism at home and abroad.

The influence of Wahhabism flows from Saudi Arabia in the form of funding and educational materials. In Pakistan, madrassas (religious schools) have sprouted up one by one along the Indus River, funded by Saudi oil money, to teach the Wahhabi creed. In the Middle East and other Muslim and non-Muslim countries, the story is the same.

In fact, with Saudi funding, Wahhabis have virtually taken over the Islamic field of electronic and print media. Darus Salaam Publications in the United States is allowed to disseminate material condemning all non-Wahhabis to death. Along with hate-filled Saudi literature, Darus Salaam books and literature flood bookstores in America. The sheer numbers of print material published in the US lend the impression that Wahabis are in the majority and therefore, must logically typify Islamic beliefs. With extremist material finding its way to state universities and public libraries, it is no wonder the majority of Americans assume that all Muslims have been taught extremist beliefs.

Nina Shea & Bonnie Alldredge wrote an article for the National Review in June 2010 called ”Saudi Textbooks: Still Teaching Hatred,” saying that “Saudi textbooks are also posted on the Saudi Education Ministry’s website and are shipped and distributed by a vast... infrastructure established with Saudi oil wealth to Muslim communities throughout the world. Given that most of the 9/11 terrorists and Osama bin Laden himself were Saudi-born and educated, it has to be acknowledged that Saudi education not only is deficient, but poses a direct danger to American national security.”

In order to sway Muslims from Islam, they seek to destroy the memory of Islam’s pious forbears by destroying the tombs of the exemplars of Islam, the blessed family of the Holy Last Messenger, Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him). Part of Wahhabism’s mission, according to Confessions of a British Spy, was to destroy the Muslims’ connection with true Islam by, “deter[ring] Muslims from visiting the graves of Prophets, Khalîfas and pious Muslims by arising doubts about visiting graves. As it is fard (obligatory) to demolish all the mausoleums and domes in Muslim countries [according to British intelligence], so is it a must to bulldoze the cemetery called Bâkî [the burial place of the companions of the Holy Last Messenger Muhammad, peace be upon him, that is now razed].

What does this have to do with America? It is hoped that Americans will join hands; Christian and Muslim, Democrat and Republican, to root out a common enemy and safeguard our country from what seems to be a calculated plan of destruction. It is deplorable that the diabolical intentions of a few are bleeding the U.S. economy dry with war after war.

Bin Laden “claimed the 9/11 attacks were designed to, number one, get America to spread its military dangerously and excessively throughout the Middle East; two, to cause political dissension within the United States...and number three, to bankrupt America through excessive military spending, as he did to the Soviets.” “Hopefully, bin Laden does not get the last laugh,” said Senator Paul upon hearing of his death.

The five-page letter that U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder issued in February defending the decision to treat the Christmas Day bomber suspect as a criminal suspect, rather than as a wartime captive, offered new insight into the Obama Administration’s view of the limits of preventive detention. The letter suggests that the administration sees virtually no legal foundation for holding terrorism suspects arrested on U.S. soil in preventive detention and has very little interest in trying to create any.
