Burmese Muslims, United Muslim Christian Forum Delegates Celebrate Milad un Nabi

 

UTICA – The United Muslim Christian Forum, a delegation of American Muslims, were invited as guests of the Utica, New York Community of Sufi Muslims which hosted a  Milad Program at the Radisson Hotel recently.  Although the Burmese Muslims spoke a completely different language, the UMCF members understood the language of the Qadri Order, the language of Sufi love, as they enjoyed the ceremony.

The Gilani family, headed by El Sheikh Syed Mubarik Ali Shah Gilani, Vice Chancellor of the International Qr’anic Opn University, extends  special thanks to all those who donated for the crystal chandelier now hanging in the new IQOU campus.  

The Vice Chancellor and his family made special dua to Almighty Allah to put light in the hearts of all who gave. As well to put light in all the work that's done in the new campus.

Islam is Alive and Well in Chile

Chile is a country where Catholicism is the majority faith; it was the belief system of the Spanish and Portuguese invaders who at one time or another dominated the lands of the indigenous peoples of South America. It is recorded historically that In the 1800’s two Muslims from an unidentified part of the Ottoman Empire settled in Chile. By the turn of the century, the number of Muslims had risen to nearly 1500, living mainly in the northern part of Chile.
