For former presidents, John Adams and Thomas Jefferson among them, being properly educated included owning and reading the  Holy Quran. Via Boston.com, a glimpse at the little-known long history of the Holy Quran in America:

Reports of Holy Qurans in American libraries go back at least to 1683, when an early settler of Germantown, Pa., brought a German version to these shores. Despite its foreign air, Adams’s Holy Quran had a strong New England pedigree. The first Holy Quran published in the United States, it was printed in Springfield in 1806.

Why would John Adams and a cluster of farmers in the Connecticut valley have bought copies of the Holy Quran in 1806? Surprisingly, there was a long tradition of New Englanders reading in the Islamic scripture. No book states the case more plainly than a single volume, tucked away deep within the citadel of Copley Square — the Boston Public Library. The book known as Adams 281.1 is a copy of the Holy Quran, from the personal collection of John Adams.

Thomas Jefferson, especially, had a familiarity with Islam that borders on the astonishing. Not only did he study the Islamic culture, but Jefferson even tried to learn Arabic. Like Adams, he owned a Holy Quran, a 1764 English edition that he bought while studying law as a young man in Williamsburg, Virginia.

Just five years ago, that Holy Quran became the center of a controversy, when the first Muslim ever elected to Congress, Keith Ellison, a Democrat from Minnesota, asked if he could place his hand on it while taking his oath of office — a request that elicited tremendous screeches from the talk radio extremists.

The American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) says it is “a matter of serious concern” that the Obama Administration rebuked the recent announcement of settlement expansion as “a deeply negative signal.” AIPAC is calling “on the Administration to take immediate steps to defuse the tension with the Jewish State,” after an ill-timed announcement made by the Israeli government during the height of US Vice President Joe Biden’s Middle East tour that settlements in East Jerusalem would increase by 1600 persons.

But perhaps more troubling is a lesser known declaration made by Israeli Prime Minister Benyamin Netanyahu that the Tomb of the Patriarchs is being made into a national heritage site by his administration, according to Aletho News and agencies. There is a fear that the rehabilitation project scheduled for the mosque of the father of three religions may become reserved for one religion only.

The site, also known as the Ibrahimi Mosque, is believed to contain the grave of the Holy Messenger Abraham -who is the father of Islam, Christianity and Judaism. Located in Hebron, the Ibrahimi Mosque also lies within Palestinian territory, in the midst of uncontested land.

The Holy Messenger Joseph, or Yusuf, in Arabic, is also believed to be buried in the Tomb of the Patriarchs. The Biblical and Qur’anic patriarchs after which the tomb is named, however, are Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, as well as three matriarchs: Sarah, Rebecca, and Leah.

These holy sites -and others such as the resting places of the Holy Messenger Job, or Ayyoub, and the Holy Messenger ‘Imran, the father of Mary, mother of the Holy Messenger Jesus (peace be upon them all), in Oman; the Holy Messengers Jonah, or Yunus, and his father Amittai, whose name is Matta in Arabic, as well as the Holy Messenger Lot -also in the Hebron area; Ezekiel or Zul Kifl in Iraq; Aaron, or Harun, in Jordon; the Holy Messenger Seth, or Sheeth, in Lebanon; and the father of mankind, the Holy Messenger Adam and his wife, our mother, Eve are said to be buried in Saudi Arabia - have all been maintained for almost 1000 years, with respect and love, by Muslims.

The Ibrahimi Mosque has been in existence since 1206. In the 12th century, after capturing almost every other Crusader city, the world renowned Muslim general, Salahhuddin Ayyoubi, advanced on Jerusalem. The city surrendered, Salahhuddin, whose name is commonly spelled Saladin, invited the Jewish people to return to the city. In Hebron, Christians were also allowed to worship freely at the Ibrahimi Mosque.

But in the modern age, Israeli forces began restricting Palestinian visits to the Mosque as far back as May of last year, as reported by Ma’an News.

Dr Elias Akleh, a Palestinian author living in the United States, considers the announcement of Mr Netanyahu’s decision regarding the Tomb of the Patriarchs -like the declaration regarding more settlements during Vice President Biden’s visit- untimely. The decision to make the Ibrahimi Mosque an Israeli national heritage site “coincided with the sixteenth anniversary of the Ibrahimi Mosque massacre perpetrated by the Zionist Israeli terrorist Baruch Goldstein, who murdered in cold blood 29 Moslems while kneeling in prayer at the Ibrahimi Mosque,” writes Dr Akleh in his article, “Netanyahu Re-igniting Religious War in the Holy Land.” Dr Akleh continues: “After the six-days-war in 1967 the Israeli government took control of the Ibrahimi Mosque, and provided protected and free entry to extremist Zionist Jews to pray while limiting access to Moslems’ prayers, who have to go through electronic gates and body search[s] before entering.”

Israeli journalist, Avi Shavit, condemns recent acts of Prime Minister Netanyahu not only as ill-timed, but “insane” in Haaretz: “Our need for the United States is unprecedented at this critical juncture; any national interest should be subservient to the supreme interest of strengthening this alliance. But now of all times, at the most sensitive moment, Israel chooses to act insanely… The continuation of the occupation makes Israel disfigure itself and its image; with its own hands it undermines the legitimacy of Zionism.”

In the wake of more uncertainty surrounding the not quite fledgling peace process, it was not Muslims or Jews, but Christians, who convened from all over the world in Bethlehem to discuss a way forward during a seminar entitled “Christ at the Checkpoint,” at Bethlehem Bible College on March 12-17. The point of the week long meeting was not only stated as gaining understanding of “Holy Scripture as related to the Palestinian context, but “to discuss the theological importance of Peace and Justice.”

The above hadith sherif is heard, recited and memorized all over the Muslim world. While the every day interpretation of the text is accepted by most as, “I should feed my neighbor if he is without food,” the wealth of Islamic information available makes the understanding even clearer.

Before clarifying what the treatment of the neighbor should be, one should first understand exactly who is the neighbor that is being referred to.

Al Adab Al Mufrad, a collection of hadith shareef from Imam Bukhari, quotes Al-Hasan (may Allah ta’ala be pleased with him) as having been asked who is the jaar, or neighbor. Al Hasan said, “The term ‘neighbor’ includes the forty houses in front of a person, the forty houses behind him, the forty houses on his right and the forty houses on his left.”

Thus, it can be said that the term “neighbor” actually refers to a person’s entire neighborhood.

For those living in an un-Islamic society, this may seem to limit the donor to whatever Muslim neighbors may be at hand. Not so.

Also from Al Adab Al Mufrad there is a hadith reported by Mujahid who said: A sheep was slaughtered for ‘Abdullah ibn ‘Amr. He asked his servant, “Have you given any to our Jewish neighbor?? I heard the Messenger of  Allah (peace be upon him) say, ‘Angel Jibril kept on recommending that I treat my neighbors well, until I thought that he would order me to treat them as my heirs.’”

Therefore, the neighbor’s right of honor, help, and hospitality, is meant for all neighbors, regardless of their religious or cultural background.

This point was made very clear by El Sheikh Mubarik Ali Shah Gilani, in the video commentary of the book Kashful Israar, which was written by Hadrat Ali Hajweri. El Sheikh narrated an incident, during the discourse, in which Hadrat Ali Hajweri spiritually assisted the Hindus who lived near  his holy tomb, by praying for the well-being of the family’s dying son, who was brought back to health by virtue of Hadrat Ali Hajweri’s presence and supplication. He said, “You are my neighbor.”

In line 36 of Sura Nisaa’ in the Holy Qur’an, Allah ta’ala (the Most High) says, “Be good to your parents and relatives and to orphans and the very poor, and to neighbors who are related to you and neighbors who are not related to you.”

Ibn Kathir related that Mujahid was reported to have said that Allah ta’ala’s statement, “the neighbors who are not related to you” also refers to one’s companion during travel.

Thus we are left with a clear definition of jaar. All the people who live in one’s neighborhood or village, be they Muslim or non-Muslim, family or not; or, a traveling companion would be understood as such.

This being the scope of the word neighbor, it then becomes necessary for Muslims to broaden their perspective  in order to conform to the teaching and life pattern of the Holy Last Messenger Muhammad, (may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon he and his family).

Everyone knows that the Holy Last Messenger, (peace be upon him), preferred the next life to this one, and was in no way attached to worldly wealth and charm. We hear the stories of his sleeping on a simple mat, tying a stone to the tender side of his stomach to alleviate hunger, and of his wives fasting and giving away their evening meal, which would be used to break the fast. Why all of this? The Holy Last Messenger and his blessed Ahle Bait, or members of his household, could not stand to see others suffer and go hungry, whether the afflicted persons were Muslim, Christian, Jew or polytheist.

It is not that the Honored and Beloved Messenger, (peace be upon him), was without wealth, but the Holy Last Messenger (Allah’s peace be upon him) made it a point to never keep wealth in his hands. Once, the Holy Last Messenger, peace be upon him, gave a man “so much gold that he could not carry it,” as related in Ash Shifa of Qadi ‘Iyad. The narration continues to say that in another instance, 90,000 dirhams were brought to the Holy Last Messenger, (peace be upon him), who placed them on a mat and then got up and distributed them, not turning away anyone who asked until he had given it all away. “It is mentioned that Mu’awwidh ibn ‘Afra’; said, ‘I brought the Holy Messenger, (may Allah bless him and grant him peace), a plate of fresh dates and cucumber [as a gift], and he gave me a handful of jewelry and gold.’”

In this, we see the true spirit of Islam in the overwhelming generosity of the Holy Last Messenger Muhammad, (peace be upon him), who not only honored, helped, and gave great hospitality to his neighbors, but also condemned those who were crude, disrespectful and hurtful to their own neighbors.

Muslim reported that the Holy Last Messenger Muhammad, peace be upon him, said “Taqwa is here!” pointing to his breast three times, “It is enough evil for man to scorn his Muslim brother.”

People with little understanding of the way of Islam, are quick to scorn those who are impoverished as somehow undeserving of the bounty of Allah ta’ala. Yet Allah ta’ala speaks of this very mentality in Sura YaSeen. Ibn Kathir comments, on line 47 of Sura YaSeen: “And when it is said to them, ‘Spend of that with which Allah has provided you,’’’ means that when they are told to spend of that which Allah ta’ala has provided to them on the poor and the needy, they say, “Shall we feed those whom, if Allah willed, He (Himself) would have fed)?” (Holy Quran) In ignorance, such people feel that if Allah ta’ala had wished, He would have fed the poor people. Thus they fail the test which was created to “see who amongst you performs the best deeds.” (Holy Quran)

What is more sad is that these people, while discarding the magnanimous pattern of the Holy Last Messenger (peace be upon him), think that they are united with the will of Allah ta’ala in His dispensation of provisions to the people. Allah ta’ala save us from becoming ignorant and hard-hearted, as this is a plague that is left over from the days before Islam.

How is it that in one home there is an abundance of food with every luxury and amenity of life, while just next door, or up the road, another home eats at the bottom of the food pyramid, if at all, and has no running water, nor even electricity?  

In another noble tradition (hadith), Ibn ‘Umar said, “There was a time when no one was more entitled to a person’s money than his Muslim brother. Now people love their dirhams and dinars more than their Muslim brother. I heard the Holy Last Messenger, (may Allah  bless him and grant him peace), say, ‘How many a neighbor will be brought together with his neighbor on the Day of Rising! He will say, ‘Lord, this man closed his door to me and refused to show me common kindness!’”

In Riyadhus Saaliheen, Abu Hurayra reported that the Holy Last Messenger, (may Allah bless him and grant him peace), said, “By Allah, he is no mu’min! By Allah, he is no mu’min! By Allah, he is no mu’min!” It was asked, “Who is that, Messenger of Allah?” He said, “Someone whose neighbor is not safe from his mischief!”  

In Al Adab Al Mufrad, Thawban said, .”..There is no man who wrongs his neighbor, to the extent that he forces him until he makes him leave his home, who is not destroyed.”

In such a situation, those people whose hearts are dead as such to the needs of their neighbors, have traded their iman for their comforts and riches. For this bad neighbor, his salat and ibadah to Allah ta’ala is not accepted until he helps his neighbors, according to the commentary of El Sheikh Mubarik Ali Shah Gilani on the Arbaeen Jami hadiths. “[Helping one’s neighbor] is the very gist of ibada in Islam.”

El Sheikh has said elsewhere that the purpose of ibada, or worship, is  to cultivate the true spirit of sacrifice in a human being. Therefore, if there is no spirit of sacrifice, one may clearly see that the worship of such a miser helps him not at all.

The American people have failed in their attempt to understand  Islam and the Holy Quran. The American people should come closer in understanding their Muslim brethren. Without doubt, this is the solution to the major problems between the government, the American people and the American Muslim.

The Holy Quran was and still is the common denominator in the heritage of mankind at large, especially of those people of the Book - the Jews and Christians. The Holy Quran contains revelations, messages, signs, explanations of law and the Books [of earlier Divine revelations sent to previous Messengers], including stories revealed to Adam, Noah, Abraham, David, Solomon, Moses, Jesus, son of Mary and the Holy Last Messenger, Muhammad, peace and blessing be on all of them.

However, the enemies of Islam have not spared any stone to be unturned in their constitutional conspiratory approach to defame and take the words in Holy Quran as a book of terrorisms. One such instance is the translation by A. J. Arberry, who is taken as a moderate and a kind of friend to Al-Islam. Yet, he has done an immense amount of damage in misquoting and misinterpreting the Holy Quran, as have others such as Yusuf Ali, Muhammad Ali, Pickthall. Arberry, in his translation of Surah Muhammad, misquotes the ayat  "When you meet the kafirs (unbelievers) kill them. And when you overpower them tie them.” This very language has lead many ignorant non-Muslims to believe that the Holy Quran is a book of terrorism.

Most Muslims know that this ayat in Surah Muhammad was sent down during the Battle of Uhud, on 3rd of Dhul Hijjah, when the Meccan kafirs  attacked the Muslims. It was there and then that the Muslims were urged to confront them. The Muslims were told that before they were killed [by their enemies] to kill them (the kafirs) and take the captives prisoners . This line of Holy Quran was [revealed to the Holy Last Messenger Muhammad, peace be upon him, by Divine revelation through the Angel Gabriel] and then related to the Muslims at the time.

The Holy Quran cannot be translated into any other language and those who try, without knowing the science of Quranic Arabic, do great damage to the Book. Those translators who take on this venture and do not possess the ilm (knowledge of religion) have taken on a burden and incur sin upon themselves. Holy Quran cannot be justly translated without observing the following:

1. Each and every word must be explained in the context in which it was sent down, [understanding] why and for what cause it was sent down. Then, and only then, can a person start to understand Holy Quran.

2. One must know of the ayaats [lines] that are the foundation of the book and the ones that are secrets, whose meanings are known only to Allah, His Holy Messenger (peace be upon him) and those whom Allah has given immense knowledge.

3. One who has the understanding and knowledge of the canceller and the cancelled ayaats [lines of the Holy Quran which were abrogated, and the event or action which caused them to be abrogated].

Last, but not least, the [language of the] Holy Quran is the only living language;  and that is not a matter of belief -  but a matter of fact.

Take for example, the spoken English language. You must agree that the English spoken 400 years ago is not the same language spoken today. That language is dead and forgotten. Whereas, the Holy Quranic language spoken today is the same language spoken by the Holy Last Messenger, Muhammad (peace be upon him) and exactly the same as written in the Book. It is still the same living language used in the entire Arab world, and it has not changed, nor has it died. Without doubt - this Holy Quran is from the Almighty Creator, for all time to come!

It is a general command for Muslims, for all times, to know that those who call themselves Christians are closer to the Muslims than any other religious denomination of the world. The Muslims give reverence to churches, synagogues, temples and the places where Almighty God is remembered. Therefore, Muslims are forbidden to destroy places of worship.

When Jesus, son of the Blessed Virgin Mary ( peace be on them) was preaching a discourse about making lawful some of the things that were forbidden before (which is included in the Injil, the Gospel of Jesus), the lawyers and Rabbis [the keepers of the Torah] classified Jesus as a terrorist and [his message, eventually written as] the Injil,  also a message of terrorism. Even then, these Jews used the Romans to take action against Jesus, son of Mary, by forging lies against him and his blessed mother, therefore subjecting the Romans to bring him to trial and supposedly crucifying Jesus, son of Mary, on the cross.

The Holy Quran is the only book which contains an authentic account of Jesus, son of Mary (peace be on him) and completely refutes the false allegations against Jesus being a liar or a terrorist.

Nowhere in the Holy Quran has a Muslim been commanded to kill non-Muslims without a just cause. Even in war, they are not allowed to kill the elderly, women, children, priest, etc. It is illegal in Islam to carry out first attacks and acts of terrorism. Acts of sabotage, which might kill the innocent or the like thereof, are also forbidden.

Let the world know - if they really want to learn about true Islam, then they should learn from authentic Muslim scholars. One such scholar and direct descendant of the Holy Last Messenger of Allah Almighty (peace be upon him) is El-Shaikh Syed Mubarik Ali Shah Gilani. Do not look to those agents planted to destroy Islam, i.e. M. Ahmad [Qadiani], Wahhabis, Shiites and others who project Islam with the false ideologies and theories of Freud and Darwin.

In the Holy Quran, Surah tus Saad, Ayaat 29, Almighty Allah says: “This is the blessed Kitab (Book) that we have revealed to you, (ya Rasullulah!) [Last Messenger of Allah] full of blessings, that the people may ponder over its ayaats (signs), and so that the intelligent ones may take heed.”

SURRY, Britain – Following the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessing be upon him), Muslims and mosques in the southern British country of Surry are reviving the centuries-old sport of horseback archery at weekly sessions, which attract many young Muslims.

"Archery is one of those sports that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings upon him) specifically recommended that we do, likewise horse riding, and it also helps you to overcome certain fears as well," Coach Jehad Shamis, of organization Archery for All, told the BBC.

"British Asians and Muslims in general are not that good with animals either and it's something that we really need to overcome."

Participating in horseback archery competitions all over the world, coach Shamis now gives weekly archery lessons in a hall at the Woking's Shah Jahan Mosque.

He also oversees the students' riding lessons at local stables.

Currently, the students are learning the two skills separately before combining them next summer.

Recommended by the Holy Last Messenger, Muhammad (peace and blessings upon him), the sport has witnessed a revival in Britain with the establishment of the British Horseback Archery Association in 2007.

During the lessons, Shamis reads out a sayings of the Holy Last Messenger (peace and blessings upon him), better known as Hadith, in which archery or horse riding is mentioned.

Students are learning the standard finger release method of archery, but also the more eastern or "Mongolian" thumb draw.

“Initially, when people learn archery we teach them with the finger release,” Shamis said.

“It's very similar to what you'll see in the Olympics. But then, with those that are wishing to do traditional archery, we do the thumb draw.

“Although there is disagreement over this, it lends itself to horseback archery because it's a little bit more efficient and easier to release.”

Mosque Role

Shah Jahan Mosque was praised for its role in encouraging young Muslims to play a sport, while observing the daily prayers at the mosque.

“More than anything else I think in our community we never had these facilities before,” Sajida Rehman, a qualified instructor, told the BBC.

“People can come and pray in the mosque but also there are other activities on offer." she said.

Ambar Rachad, 16, is one of the students who learn both skills and is pointed out as "the best" by her mostly female fellow students.

Understanding the significance of archery in Islam, Rachad managed to overcome first difficulties in the games.

“When we first started our lessons, we went back into the history of archery," says Ambar.

“Basically, it's a 'Sunnah' (a practice of the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings upon him) which is recommended.

“We've done competitions which are really fun, but every lesson is a competition because we try and beat each other.”

Britain is home to a sizable Muslim minority of nearly 2.5 million.

MADINAH – Former Dutch Islamophobe and a former leading member of far-right Dutch politician Geert Wilders’ party Arnoud Van Doorn visited the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah to pray and say sorry for becoming part of a blasphemous film.

Doorn was among the Freedom Party leaders who produced the blasphemous film, “Fitna”. Last month he reverted to Islam after an extensive study about the religion and the Holy Last Messenger, Muhammad (peace be upon him).

He said that the worldwide outrage against the film made him study about the Holy Last Messenger (pbuh) and that eventually led to his conversion.

He headed for Makkah to perform Umrah after meeting the two imams of the Prophet’s Mosque, Sheikh Ali Al-Hudaifi and Sheikh Salah Al-Badar, who enlightened him on how to lead the life of a good Muslim and confront challenges facing Islam in the West.

A member of the Dutch parliament and The Hague City Council, Doorn announced his decision to accept Islam on his Twitter profile. He also posted a tweet in Arabic declaring that “there is no god but Allah and Muhammad is his Prophet.”

At first, other users took the news as a joke. After all, an active supporter of a notorious Dutch hater of Islam, Wilders, he repeatedly approved Islamophobic statements and public actions, and personally participated in them.

But Doorn, who now serves as a regional adviser at the City Hall in The Hague, personally confirmed his decision to practice Islam in an official letter to the city mayor.

Most recently, the politician filed a formal application to the mayor of the city to allow him to perform prayers obligatory for Muslims during his working hours.

“I can understand people are skeptic, especially that it is unexpected for many of them,” Doorn told Al-Jazeera English satellite channel.

“This is a very big decision, which I have not taken lightly.”

“In my own close circle people have known that I have been actively researching the Qur’an, Hadith, Sunnah and other writings for almost a year now,” he said.

“In addition, I have had numerous conversations with Muslims about the religion.”

Driven by his party’s anti-Islam discourse, Doorn decided to dig in for the truth about the religion himself.

“I have heard so many negative stories about Islam, but I am not a person who follows opinions of others without doing my own research,” he said. “Therefore, I have actually started to deepen my knowledge of Islam out of curiosity.”

The 46-year-old has continued on The Hague Council as an independent candidate since splitting from Wilders’s party. Doorn’s decision to embrace Islam has won mixed reactions in the Netherlands.

“According to some people I am a traitor, but according to most others I have actually made a very good decision,” he told Al-Jazeera.

“The reactions are generally positive and I also received quite some support via twitter.

“It feels good that people who do not know me personally have understanding of my situation and support me in my choice.”

Asked if he now regretted joining the Freedom Party, he replied: “I have learned that every experience in life has a purpose. However, with the knowledge I have today, I would have undoubtedly made a different choice.”

For the Dutch politician, finding Islam was finally guiding him to the true path in his life. “I have made mistakes in life as many others. From these mistakes I have learned a lot,” Doorn said.

“And by my conversion to Islam I have the feeling that I finally found my path. I realize that this is a new start and that I still have much to learn as well.”

   (IP) The Holy Qur’an, a Divine Revelation sent to all mankind, contains over 6,000 ayat, or lines which have been preserved for all time without corruption or change of even one letter, as promised by the Almighty Creator. In November, at the age of 13, Muhammad Tahir A. Sabur, son of Abdul Jabaar and Aisha Begum, became Hafiz, or one who has memorized the entire Holy Qur’an. Muslims from the East have produced many Huffaz (plural of Hafiz), but it is very rare -a miracle of Almighty God, Allah- that Hafiz Tahir, an indigenous American Muslim, is able to memorize all of the ayat in correct order with the proper punctuation and diacritic marks of each and every word at such a young age. In celebration of this blessing Hafiz Tahir, a member of Muslims of the Americas community, will be joined by family, friends and neighbors as the honored guest at a special recognition ceremony later this month.

Innumerable persons in every Muslim community have memorized the entire Holy Quran- the first being the blessed Holy Last Messenger of Allah, Muhammad (peace of Allah on him forever), followed by his righteous Companions, may Allah be pleased with all of them. In fact, the Holy Qur’an is the only divine Book of Allah memorized by its followers. Allah assures the protection of the Holy Qur’an by making its memorization an easy task for the Believers, for He says: “And indeed we have made easy Qur’an to understand and remember, then is there any that will remember?”  (Holy Qur’an 54:17)

Muslims hear the proof of the preservation of the Holy Qur’an once every year, when the entire Holy Qur’an is recited in the prayers of Taraweeh during the month of Ramadhan. Due to the presence of hundreds of thousands of Hufaaz throughout the world, the preservation of Holy Qur’an is assured forever; completely independent of written copies and without threat of burning.

The Imam and Spiritual Guide of The Muslims of the Americas, His Eminence El Sheikh Syed Mubarik Ali Shah Gilani sends congratulations to Hafiz Tahir and his family, “This is Allah’s response to those who thought they burned Holy Quran. Holy Quran cannot be burnt as it lives in the hearts of Muslims everywhere for all time!”

When the Holy Messenger Abraham, peace be upon him, left his wife, the Lady Hajra and their son, Ismail, peace be upon them, in the valley of Makkah, in accordance with Allah’s Will,she asked her husband if Allah had commanded him to do so. When he replied yes, she became content with her condition. This is what makes the difference between a wife and a companion:  a wife has rights of which she can complain.  

Lady Hajra was concerned about finding water for herself and her son. She ran back and forth between the two hills of Safa and Marwa looking for water. Allah, the Most High, sent an angel who dug his foot into the sand and the spring of Zam Zam welled up, providing cool and refreshing water to mother and child. To this day and for all times to come, millions upon millions of Muslims,  as one of the religious rites of the Hajj pilgrimage ,  run between Safa and Marwa in emulation of  Lady Hajra and drink from the same spring of Zam Zam because Allah has so honoured the companion and mother of Messengers. Yet, she herself was not a Messenger.  

Praise and thanks be to Almighty Allah, the Lord of Mankind, Who sent His Messengers as guides for humanity, and their illustrious consorts who exemplify the honor, dignity, and high status that He, the Exalted, has bestowed upon all women!

“Yehia Hamed, the new investment minister, is the spokesperson for the Brotherhood’s Freedom and Justice Party (FJP), while Amr Darrag, who takes over at the International Cooperation and Planning Ministry, is a member of the Brotherhood’s political bureau and chairman of the Freedom and Justice Party’s Foreign Relations Committee. Ahmed El-Gizawi, the new Minister of Agriculture, is the head of the Agriculture Committee of the FJP,” according to Egyptian newspaper Al-Ahram.

This reshuffling did not satisfy the opposition parties and is a definite cause for concern. As the Muslim Brotherhood continues to secure key positions in government, despondency and anger amongst the people increase.

“The spokesperson for the liberal Free Egyptians Party, Shehab Waguih, told Al-Ahram the Brotherhood’s prominent figures continue to control the affairs of the country, saying Deputy Supreme Guide Khairat El-Shater and Hassan Malek continue to control economic affairs, while Presidential Assistant for Foreign Affairs Essam Al-Haddad wields control over the country’s foreign policy,” Daily News reported.

In addition to newly appointed ministers in Qandil’s cabinet, some raised concerns over those ministers who maintained their posts despite their poor management of affairs to which they were assigned.  The Ghad Al-Thawra Party expressed its disappointment that Mohammed Ibrahim, Minister of the Interior, was not replaced—saying he “failed to restore security to the streets and lawlessness continues,” reported Daily News. Khaled Alam Eddin, a member of the Salafi Al-Nour Party’s High Commission, was concerned that controversial ministers like the Minister of Information were not removed.

Daily News reported, “Chairman of the Freedom and Justice Party (FJP) Saad Al-Katatni welcomed the formation of the new cabinet, according to a statement issued by his party. He expressed his full support and said he had called on the FJP to lend full support to the new government to overcome the current transitional phase, and called on all political forces to do the same.”

Despite the outrage from his opposition, Morsi—former member of the Muslim Brotherhood’s Freedom and Justice Party—continues to fill government positions with members of the Muslim Brotherhood as well as those with political ties to the organization.

Morsi is pleased with the newly inducted ministers and invited his fellow countrymen to support them.

The continued influx of Muslim Brotherhood members in government positions presents obvious problems for the liberal, secularist and the non-Muslim minorities because of the absence of representation their newly elected president’s administration. They are concerned that the Brotherhood’s brand of Islam will be imposed upon them and this does little to ease the fears of Egypt’s Christian community who have seen little assistance from Morsi’s administration in matters of crimes committed against them.  Nader Ramadan an Egyptian journalist said, “It seems as if the Muslim Brotherhood is trying to act more or less like the de facto leaders of the country. Once they have complete control of the country, they can use any branch of government to their advantage.” If this happens, there will be nothing anyone can do except tow the Brotherhood line.

  In a famous garden of Spain, well known for its beauty and freshness vying with the garden of Eden, which was always crowded by sight-seers, two learned men were engaged in a theological discussion in a corner. The sun at this time had completed its round and was preparing to set in the west, while the enchanting songs of birds returning to nests were exhilarating the passers-by. A Christian girl, whose name is given in history as Isabella, was also sitting with some friends in the garden and watching with delight the beauty of Nature. Aged about sixteen or seventeen, she was the daughter of a Christian priest. In her beauty and grace she looked like a hourie of Paradise, and nobles and religious leaders aspired for her hand to make their lives happy and joyful, but her father wanted her to be the model of virgin Mary and did not want to give her away in marriage. Since she was being given religious training, she was well acquainted with religious matters and took keen interest in theological discussions. 

In a bed of roses, in a corner, as stated above, sat some Muslims, who appeared to be men of learning, engaged in some discussion. 

First man: Saint Paul has written in one of his letters that religious law is a curse and Jesus Christ came to relieve us from that curse. What after all does this mean? 

Second man: (laughing): You want to understand it from me, although even Christian priests…. 

Isabella, who was sitting at a little distance with her girl friends was alerted on the words “even Christian priests” and said to one of her friends: These Muslims seem to be talking about our religion. Let us hear quietly what they say. A friend responded: Since these Muslims have come here our religion is in great danger. 

Isabella: Stop talking. Keep quiet and let us hear what they say. 

First man: Muaz! You have said that even Christian priests do not understand it. Do you mean to say that they are following Christianity without understanding it? 

Second man: Umar Lahmi! Just put this question to some eminent priest and see what he says. But first you should tell me your objection to what Saint Paul has said. 

Umar Lahmi: There is no objection in fact. I just want to understand it and since you have often talked to Christians and have also read their literature, so I want to understand it from you. What I want to know is that when religious law is a curse and Prophet Jesus came to relieve the Christians from this curse, therefore, theft, fornication, disobedience to parents will also be permissible although no Christian believes in their permissibility. 

Muaz: How are theft and fornication and other such sins related to the religious law being a curse? I cannot quite follow you. 

Umar Lahmi: What I mean is that the Old Testament is the religious law which enjoins that one should not steal, should not fornicate, should not give trouble to his neighbor, should not disobey his parents, etc. but when the entire religious law is a curse, it will also be a curse to obey these injunctions as these injunctions are also religious law and the very core of it. If what Saint Paul says is correct, then Christians should also steal, fornicate and commit such other sins. But like us they follow this religious law, then they are accursed and Christians who object to these sins are condemned as they object to obedience of religious law. 

Muaz: Funny, you want me to clear the very objection which I have put to Christians so often. 

Umar Lahmi: Have you ever put it to Christians? What was their reply? 

Muaz: They tried to explain it away and were perplexed. 

Just then there was the call for the Maghrib prayer and the two learned men made their ablution in a nearby tank and offered prayer. 

Isabella had listened to this conversation very attentively being keenly interested in theological questions and felt the weight of the objection. She put her mind to it and tried to find out an explanation that she might put it to Muaz and Umar Lahmi. But despite all efforts she was unable to find a solution and, still absorbed in the question, she got up along with her friends thinking that she would ask her father about it. 

Isabella left her companions at a crossroad and walked to the eastern gate of Cordova. 

CHAPTER 2: 

An Important Question: 

Entering the eastern gate of Cordova, the young and beautiful Isabella took to the road which led straight to the Qasrul Shuhada (Palace of Martyrs). The Muslim government of the day had lavishly beautified the whole of Spain. The roads of Cordova were wide and well planned and beautiful lamps at short distances lighted them and, as Dr Draper says, one could walk twenty miles in their light. Isabella walked slowly and gracefully on the wide and bright road of the Palace of Martyrs towards her home and her pace today was t houghtful a nd d ignified. A fter her evening stroll she used to call on her friends on the way while returning, but today she was heading straight to her home and seemed to be absorbed in some thought. In half an hour she reached her palatial house, where her maid-servant was waiting for her at the door and greeted her. Giving some off-hand answer to the maid’s question as to her delayed return, she entered her room and, sitting in an easy chair, began to read a book. In the meantime the maidservant laid the dinner table and called her. But she was so absorbed in the book that she did not respond and continued in her study. The book she was reading was the Holy Bible and she was particularly studying Saint Paul’s Epistles with great care in which the religious law was denounced as a curse. She read the letters again and again but could not find a solution to her doubt, which became more and more firm as she went on reading. When her mind was tired, she put away the Bible and resolved to ask her father who, she thought, could explain. 

She did not think that the problem was insoluble. If she could not find the solution, her father would easily find it as there was no man in Spain so learned as her Father. So eased in her mind she took her dinner and began to read the Bible again. Sometime after, she went to her bed. 

Next morning, rising early she went to the church, it being a Sunday. On her return her father called her and asked her what chapter of the Bible she had read last night as she was engaged in comprehending the inner meanings of metaphysics. If she had any difficulty in solving any problem she might ask him. 

Isabella (kissing his hand): Father, I have read today I John, Chapter 3, and if you permit me I may ask a question as I have not yet been able to solve the problem. 

Priest: Surely, surely, my child. Do ask it and I will resolve your difficulty. 

Isabella: Our Lord has given us Twelve commandments in the old Testament through Prophet Moses. Are they not about religious law? 

Priest: Yes, they all relate to religious law. 

Isabella: The next thing is that Saint Paul has said in one of his letters that religious law is a curse. 

Priest: Yes, religious law is a curse and it was to relieve us from this curse that Jesus Christ came to the world and was crucified. 

Isabella: It is clear that religious law is a curse and so grave a curse that Jesus Christ came to the world to remove it and was crucified. I t, therefore, means that to follow religious law is also a curse. 

Priest: Surely it is a curse and now Christians, instead of following the religious law, should have faith in Jesus Christ, as religious law was effective until our lord was not crucified. 

Isabella: Now, is stealing permissible for us? 

Priest: What has this got to do with the religious law? My child, you should think carefully before asking a question as anyone else. Who hears this question will take you to be quite foolish. 

Isabella: Forgive me. Probably I could not make myself clear. What I mean is that among the Commandments, which you have just said are part of religious law, one command is that you should not steal and another that you should not oppress your neighbor and the third that you should not disobey your parents. Now, these commandments are still parts of the religious law which, according to Saint Paul, is a curse. So to obey the Commandments of Old Testament (that is not to steal, not to fornicate) is abomination and not to steal and not to molest your parents are a curse. 

Priest: My child, you have not yet understood the position of the religious law. But first tell me who put this foolish question in your mind and what devil put this doubt in you? 

On this Isabella reported all the talk between Umar Lahmi and Muaz which she had heard in the garden. 

Priest: My child, you know it well that these accursed Muslims are “unbelievers” and have always been inimical to our sacred religion. Criticism of our holy books is the result of Satanic thinking. My child, you should repent at once and in future do not give ear to the talk of Muslims. They are irreligious and castigate the true religion of others. Do you know, my child, what is their religion? Blood shed is creditable in their religion. Just see, they invaded our country Spain and killed hundreds of innocent people and are forcibly imposing their religion. Now, I know that these objections you have heard from Muslims. If they were from your own mind I would have cleared them. But what reply can we give to them? 

Isabella was sorry to have mentioned Muslims, otherwise her problems must have been solved. Now I will ask this question, she thought from my teacher whom I ask questions which I do not understand in the course of my studies. 

Next day Isabella put the same question to her teacher who also failed to satisfy her by some convincible answer. Up to this time Isabella had thought that her difficulty was due to her lack of understanding and the religious leader will solve it easily, but now she realized that it was not an easy but, an important matter and her doubts were strengthened and continued to grow. - To be continued... 

   “A really efficient totalitarian state would be one in which the all-powerful executive of political bosses and their army of managers control a population of slaves who do not have to be coerced, because they love their servitude. To make them love it is the task assigned, in present-day totalitarian states, to ministries of propaganda, newspaper editors and schoolteachers.... The greatest triumphs of propaganda have been accomplished, not by doing something, but by refraining from doing. Great is truth, but still greater, from a practical point of view, is silence about truth.” 

Occult philosophy is essential to this totalitarian state because it teaches that man is a mortal god enlightened by the brotherhood ( Masons) as to his divine potential, and that those outside of the brotherhood ( Masons), they have no intrinsic value. This opens the gates of hell to enslave man with economics, (wealth redistribution), mass- mind control, and the real goal of social engineering is to control consciousness, so that masses, or the people on the bottom of the pyramid, live as controlled puppets and economic debtors to the ruling elite. The present economic crisis is simply the mechanism for creating slaves! 

Holy Quran, recorded traditions of the Last Messenger of God, and the Bible (without interpolation) are inspired and inerrant Word. The problem is that many of the people talking about these books have no idea what is actually said. But, the power of truth in the Islamic teachings is like a cosmic tsunami smashing the strongholds of hell on the beaches of human consciousness. It is clear, starting in The Garden of Eden, that God made man, male and female, to be the rulers of Earth. Man was never created to be a slave! 

The Antichrist’s (Dajjal) plan is to enslave mankind. All those who have chosen to serve Dajjal hope to gain power by enslaving others and that is the world system. The dictatorial rule of Dajjal is manifested in physical models of society and power, beginning at the Tower of Babel, then under the Pharaoh system, where Allah’s (Exalted is He) people were made slaves. Every time mankind rejected the precepts of Allah (Exalted is He) for a philosophy like capitalism, communism, fascism, or humanism, men and women became slaves under a cruel and dictatorial ruler, where hundreds of millions are put in slave camps and murdered. There is a vast difference between the workers’ paradise of Karl Marx and the paradise of Allah (Exalted is He). 

In a cosmic sense we are now approaching crunch time! The prophecies and predictions of the prophets are coming true before our very eyes. The world is being ruled by a Satanic elite, which herd us like slaves to the one world government, one world economic system, and one world religion predicted by Holy Last Messenger (peace and blessings of Allah upon him). Men and women who reject Allah (Exalted is He) as their Ruler will receive the ultimate mark of a slave--the mark of the beast, which is a microchip or biochip implant where no one can buy or sell without this electronic mark of the beast.

The planned destruction of the dollar and the manufactured economic collapse is intended to bring in one world economic system around 2018, InshaAllah (God willing ). Then, the mass population of planet earth, who chose to reject Allah (Exalted is He) will choose to worship the Antichrist (Dajjal) as god. We are in the birth pains described by Holy Last Messenger and Jesus (peace be on them both) as signs of the times, and warned of a Satanic elite that would rise to rule the world in the last days. They clearly said that the spiritual deception in mankind would be so intense that mankind would be under a “Great Delusion of Great Apostasy.” This is global mass-mind control that is first spiritual, and also drug oriented, and technological. 

Through so-called secular-predictive programming, mankind has been programmed to accept a world authoritarian leader, accept the loss of freedoms, accept being slaves, and accepting a mark; embracing the idea that all resistance is useless. The Satanic elite is openly killing off, or “culling the herd,” of “useless eaters,” by taking the world’s population from 7 billion to 500 million. They are using the Science of Eugenics first developed by the Rockefeller Foundation in the 1920’s, and then adopted by Hitler in the 1930’s, as the scientific justification for their goals. 

On a theological level, a superficial reading of Islamic and Biblical prophecies would lead one to conclude that we are to be fatalistic, accept our role as victims, and do nothing until the return of Christ and the coming of Imam Mahdi. Yet the Islamic and Biblical teachings say that we are to take great care to interpret it correctly. 

Within the Islamic and Evangelical Community there is almost an unconscious death wish when it comes to prophecy. Nowhere does it ever teach man to become fatalists and do nothing until Christ returns. Nowhere! 

The important thing is to establish the Deen (the way of life) of Allah (Exalted is He) for Allah’s (Exalted is He) sake alone. So it is the duty for the community of Holy Last Messenger (peace and blessings of Allah on him) to hold to the task of upholding the Word of Allah (Exalted is He) in the earth and not to waver from this Deen until it leads and directs all humanity. 

Yet, the next to the Holy Last Messenger, Jesus (peace be upon them both) is specifically telling Christians that they are to “Occupy till I come!” (Luke 19:12-14). Occupation implies maintaining their position! Yet, we see the majority of Christians adopting a non-Biblical theology of retreatism, or escapism. The most often used excuse in the Islamic and Evangelical Community is that we are in the last days and we are not to interfere with Allah’s (God’s) end of time program. Essentially, the argument goes that we are to just hang in there until “The Rapture” occurs for Christians, and the appearance of Imam Mahdi for the Muslims. The idea is that if we attempt to do anything, we might be interfering with Allah’s (Exalted is He) Sovereign plan. Thus, passivity and fatalism are promoted as the ultimate will of Allah (Exalted is He) for the truly spiritual Muslims and Christian. 

The idea that by taking action based on a sound mind is an attempt to overrule Allah’s (Exalted is He) Sovereignty is the exact opposite of what the Nabis (Prophets) taught. It is impossible for any man to overrule Allah’s( Azza Wa Jal) Sovereignty through prayer or action. Allah’s (Exalted is He) Sovereign plan will unfold exactly as He planned and He did not create man to live in a fatalistic universe. 

The Holy Last Messenger (peace and blessings of Allah on him) advised us that when the time comes and we hear that the Dajjal exists, we must read the first ten and last ten ayats (lines) of Sura Al- Kahf and we will be saved from the mischief, trials and tribulations of Dajjal -- (Ibn Majah, Sunan, Abu Dawud Tirmidhi,the Musnad of Ahmad ). [There is, of course, an understood fact that the reading of these ayats has to be done with an understanding of their meaning and with the determination of acting upon them]. 

The Holy Last Messenger (peace and blessings of Allah on him) advises us to read these ayats as reminders to “do what is right and associate none as partner in the worship of his Lord.” (Holy Qur’an, Sura Al-Kahf, ayat 110). These ayat speak of the people that have taken for worship that other than the Almighty Creator, Allah; who follow their own desires, scoffing the guidance given to them through their Prophets, disbelieving in HIS revelations. They are the ones that will fall victim to the tribulations of the Dajjal. “He whom Allah guides is rightly guided; but he whom He leaves in error, for him you will find no protector to lead him the Right Way.” (Holy Qur’an, Sura Al- Kahf, ayat 17) 

The name “antichrist” is due to the fact that it is opposed to the true teachings of Jesus (peace be on him), who never taught the doctrine of son-ship, or that he was in fact god. It is important that you accurately understand what is being said. We are not calling for some kind of Christian Reconstruction movement or the establishment of a Christian theocracy. We are simply advocating that what Christ taught be established in relationship to our present moment. When the church is in obedience to the words, “Occupy until I come,” the gates of hell cannot prevail against the church. At this present moment, which is in the last days, the church is to move forward as the spiritual armies of light and engage the armies of spiritual darkness. That conflict, or spiritual war, is to continue until Christ returns. 

The reason spiritual darkness, chaos, and the armies of evil appear to triumph in our present hour, is because the church has rejected its mandate from Christ to, “Occupy till I come.” The correct interpretation of the “gates of hell cannot prevail,” is to be understood in the sense that the gates of hell represent hell’s kingdom on earth. But, the church, if viewed properly, is to be seen as a divine battering ram smashing down the gates of hell! When the individual Christian church and Muslims come into divine alignment with Allah’s (Exalted is He) intention, there will be a release from heaven of spiritual power that has the power to overturn the earthly kingdoms of spiritual darkness and drive the powers of darkness from the land. This is ground zero in the spiritual war. All economic, political, social, spiritual, technological, and institutional control will turn on this one truth. Everything we are experiencing in America and around the world will be impacted by an eternal force. This is the game changer and it must begin today.

There is no power and no strength to do anything except from Allah (Exalted is He). The historian Sir Arnold Thomas Walker, in his detailed work entitled The Preaching of Islam, describes the arrival and spread of Islam in China. At the start of the 7th century, a trade hub was established by Chinese merchants in Siraf, a town on the Persian Gulf, frequented by the traders of Arabia and Persia. Yet, the commercial contact also introduced the Chinese to the culture and mores of the Arabs, and eventually to the new way of life that was reforming the Arabian Peninsula - Al Islam. 

Between the sixth and ninth centuries, C.E., during the Tang dynasty, the Arabs and Persians found the trade so lucrative that they took up residence in many of China’s port cities, where they conducted their business in perfect harmony with their host counterparts. Eventually, the numbers of immigrants increased dramatically, in a flow that seemed to inundate certain areas. Chinese historians of this period, Mr.Walker stated, mention the Arabs (Muslims) in their writings, in one instance describing them as ‘barbarians’ who arrived in their land ‘like a deluge (flood)’, coming from great distances and from “more than 100 kingdoms, bringing as tribute their sacred books, which were received and deposited in the hall set apart for translations of sacred and canonical books in the Imperial Palace.” It is stated that during this time, religious diversity was appreciated and respected. 

The Annals of Kwangtung (Canton ), recount the first Muslims who came to China, describing them as ‘strangers’ who came from ‘Annan, Cambodia, Medina, and several other countries, who worshipped heaven (i.e. Almighty God) and had neither statue, idol nor image in their temples…They do not eat pork or drink wine and they regard as unclean the flesh of any animal not killed [by] themselves…” Muslim and Chinese historians as well, give an account of a delegation of emissaries of the third Khalifa of Islam, Umar ibn Al-Khattab, (may Allah be pleased with him). This entourage was led by Sa’d ibn Abi Waqqas (may Allah be pleased with him) , a maternal uncle of the Holy Last Messenger, peace and blessing be upon him, and were well received by the emperor, who commissioned the building of the Memorial Mosque in Canton, the first mosque in the country. The Muslim enclave imported their way of life, i.e., their cultural trappings, language and dress, and lived apart from the Chinese population. Between the years 960 and 1279 C.E., Muslims had become very influential and prosperous in the import/export industry in China, and the numbers of Muslims continued to increase due to immigration of people from other lands, intermarriage, and conversion of native Chinese to Islam. During the era of the Yuan dynasty, the Mongol conquests carried Islam throughout distant places and resulted in the forced migration of vast numbers of Muslims from broadly diverse places and ethnicities (Arabs, Persians, Turks and others) with the intention by the government to use their skills and services to administer the expanding empire. 

The vast influx of people constituted merchants, artisans, artists, architects, engineers, medical doctors and astronomers, as well as soldiers and prisoners of war, and settlers who, by the hundreds of thousands, became permanently settled, developing into flourishing and proliferating communities. 

Over time, intermixing blended ethnicities and homogenized the population; through marriage, the Muslims passed down the Islamic religion and culture, which continued down generations. 

As the Mongols ruled China, many Muslims held prominent positions within the government hierarchy , one such being Umar Shams al-Din (Sayyid Ajall of Bukhara) an accountant under Qubilay Khan, who reigned during the Yuan Dynasty from 1259 to 1368, who became financial manager of Imperial funds and governor of Yunnan, along with a number of other Muslims who were appointed to lofty positions. He was held in high esteem as a pious administrator who promoted religious fairness. Yet, the native Chinese, in time, began to resent that fact of immigrants (and particularly Muslims) holding such high offices, discontent that would fuel the desire to recover the control of China from the Mongols. 

Marco Polo of Italy, close friend of Qubilay Khan, lived in China for nearly twenty years, and reported that Muslims lived throughout Yunnan, and noted that the entire capital city of Yunnan, Taifu, was inhabited by Muslims. The renowned Muslim traveler Ibn Battutah visited several Chinese coastal towns and expressed in his travelogue his elation at being shown such a ‘hearty welcome’ by his Muslim hosts, reporting that in each town, the Muslims resided in their own ‘quarter’ where their mosques were located and they freely practiced Islam. 

With the decline and expulsion of the remnants of the Mongol dynasty in the latter years of the 14th century, and the isolationist policy adopted by China at that time, Muslim communities experienced lack of growth and expansion. Having been cut off from dealings with other Muslims outside of China, the Muslims in some parts of the country began to adopt many of the cultural and customary mores of their hosts and merged with the Chinese population, producing an amalgamation of the two cultures. 

The new emperor of the Ming dynasty extended privilege upon these Muslims which promoted prosperity during the period between 1369 and the middle of the 16th century C.E., a sign of which was the construction of a great number of mosques. The emperors of the Ming dynasty developed amiable relations with the Muslim rulers to the west of their empire, and as Walker states, ‘there was frequent exchange of embassies between them.’ He continues to give an account of one Chinese Muslim ruler, Shah Rukh Bahadur, who sent an invitation to the Emperor to accept Islam when his ambassador arrived at Shah Rukh Bahadur’s court in Samarqand. He sent his envoy, who accompanied the Chinese ambassador back to China, with two letters, one of which was written in Arabic. The letter read as follows: “ In the name of God, The Merciful, The Compassionate. There is no god save God; Muhammad (peace be upon him) is the Apostle of God. The apostle of God, Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: “ There shall not cease to be in my community people abiding in the commandments of God: whosoever fails to help them or opposes them shall never prosper until the Commandment of the Lord cometh. When the Most High God proposed to create Adam and his race, He said ‘I was a Hidden Treasure, but it was My pleasure to become known; I therefore created man that I might be known.’ It is manifest from hence, that The Divine purpose (great is His Power and exalted is His Word!) in the creation of man was to make Himself known and uplift the banners of right guidance and faith. Wherefore, He sent His Apostle (peace be upon him) with guidance and the religion of Truth that it might prevail over all other faiths, though the polytheists turn away from it, that He might make known the laws and ordinances and the observances of what is lawful and unlawful, and He gave him the Holy Qur’an miraculously that thereby, he might put to silence the unbelievers and stop their mouths when they discussed and disputed with him, and by His Perfect Grace and His All-Pervading Guidance, He has caused it to remain even unto the Day of Judgment. By His Power He has established in all ages and times and in all parts of the world, in east and west, and in China, a mighty monarch, lord of great armies and authority, to administer justice and mercy and spread the wings of peace and security over the heads of men; to enjoin upon them righteousness and warn them against evil and disobedience and lift up among them the banners of the noble religion...The Most High God thus disposes our hearts by His past mercies and His ensuing Grace to strive for the establishing of the laws of pure religion and the continuance of the ordinances of the shining path. He also bids us administer justice to our subjects in all suits and cases in accordance with the religion of the Prophet (peace be upon him) and the ordinances of the Chosen One, and build mosques and colleges and monasteries and hermitages and places of worship, that the teaching of the sciences and school of learning may not cease nor the memorials and injunctions of religion be swept away. Seeing that the continuance of worldly prosperity and dominion, and the permanence of authority and rule depend upon the assistance given to Truth and Righteousness and the extirpation of the evils caused by idolatry and unbelief from the earth, in the expectation of blessing and reward, we, therefore, hope that your Majesty and the nobles of your realm will agree with us in these matters and join us in strengthening the foundation of the established law.” 

The second letter, written in Persian, made a very direct, simple appeal: “ The Most High God, having in the depth of His Wisdom and the perfection of His Power, created Adam (peace be upon him),made some of his sons prophets and apostles and sent them among men to summon them to the Truth. To certain of these prophets, such as Abraham, Moses, David, and Muhammad (peace be upon them) He gave a Book and taught a Law, and He bade the people of their time follow the law and religion of each of them. All these apostles invited men to faith in the Unity and to the worship of [Almighty] God and forbade the adoration of the sun, moon, stars, of kings and idols; and though each one of these apostles had a separate law, yet, they were all agreed in the doctrine of the Unity of The Most High God. At length, when the apostolic and prophetic office devolved on the Apostle Muhammad Mustafa (peace and blessing be upon him) all other systems of law were abrogated. He was the apostle and the prophet of the latter age, and it behooves the whole world – lords and kings and ministers, rich and poor, small and great – to observe his law and forsake all past creeds and laws. This is the true and perfect faith and is called Islam.” The writer, the Muslim ruler Shah Rukh Bahadur, continued by relating the evolution of his ancesters , descendents of Ghengis Khan and relatives who came before him and how they had dispersed to varied lands where they assumed rule of the people of those places. He stated that some of them accepted Islam – Uzbek Khan, Chani Khan and Urus Khan. Hulaga Khan was given command over Khurasan, Iraq and the neighboring countries, and some of his sons who succeeded him received into their hearts the light of the law of Muhammad (peace be upon him) becoming Muslims and being honored with the blessedness of Al Islam, departed this world eventually. He continued by naming closer relatives of his – ‘the truthful king Ghazan and Ulyaytu Sultan and the fortunate king Abu Sa’id Bahadur, until my honored father, Amir Timur Gurgan, succeeded the throne. He too observed the law of Muhammad (peace be upon him)in all the countries under his rule, and throughout his reign the followers of the faith of Islam enjoyed prosperity. Now that by the goodness and favor of [Almighty] God , this kingdom of Khurasan, Iraq, Ma-wara’al nahr has passed into my hands, the administration is carried on throughout the whole kingdom in accordance with the pure law of the Prophet (peace be upon him)’ righteousness is enjoined and wrong forbidden, and the Yarghu and institutes of Chingiz (Ghengiz) Khan have been abolished... I hope that by the bounty and benevolence of God you too will observe the law of Muhammad, the Apostle of God (peace be upon him) and strengthen the religion of Islam so that you may exchange the transitory sovereignty of this world for the sovereignty of the world to come.” 

A Muslim merchant named Sayyid Ali Akbar wrote that at the end of the fifteenth and beginning of the sixteenth century he spent time in Peking and stated that in the city of Kenjanfu there were as many as 30,000 Muslim families settled there: “…they paid no taxes and enjoyed the favor of the Emperor, who gave them grants of land; they enjoyed complete toleration for the exercise of their religion, and in the capital itself there were four great mosques and about ninety more in the other provinces of the empire – all erected at the cost of the Emperor.” It is recorded that the Muslims in China lived there peacefully until the reign of the Manchu dynasty, when they were oppressed in the province of Kansu in 1648 and a revolt ensued. However, Walker states that not until the nineteenth century did any Muslim revolt in China result in seriously disrupting the good relations that the Muslims enjoyed with the Chinese Emperors, to the extent that the Emperor Yung Chen, in 1771, issued an edict stating that the Chinese Muslims were to be left alone, permitted full exercise of their religion and culture, which coincided with and respected the tradition and law of China - he stated, “ What more can be asked for?
